Favorite Childhood Role Models

I used to be. Don't watch either now.

This guy is currently the guy I have been rooting for over the past 15 odd years. But since I was already 30 then, I can hardly qualify him as my "childhood" hero. Besides the fact that he's 8 years younger than I am.

I could have gotten used to Kimi. But he disappointed after his WRC stint.

It was never the car for me. Michael could have driven a Maruti and I would have cheered him. lol

Yes of course bro. Bullet is my jaan.
i had a bullet in college for some time which i bought from army auction and then modified it from karol bagh but after a accident my mom never let me drive it again :cray: it kept rusting in owr back yard till my wife one day sold it to a kabaari as both my mom and wife never were in mood to let me use a two wheeler again :hitwall:

Man that's real sad.

A Bullet is every red blooded Indian male's birth right. Tell your wife she's being unfair.

Don't cry. Tell her there are going to be some changes around here woman. Deal with it.

Then go and get her something nice.

Timing is important. I would first get the Bullet home and then something shiny for her.

It was awesome initial years, when Military was in power
  • PPP no where to be found
  • MQM had just formed (were no bodies)
  • No Nawaz party , just Muslim League was there
  • Clean buses drove on streets , made by steels mills (yes they were still new back then)
  • Afghan migrants were just arriving in Pakistan bring drugs with them as well , Pakistan was relatively drug free prior to that

It was also wonderful becasue we had 1 or 2 channels and there was no political talk shows

Leaders /Characters I was influenced by mostly thru books

>Umar - I did not knew about khalid bin walid back then not in notebooks apparently
>Qauid-e-Azam
>Rashid Minhas

Now that I look back I feel the books in Pakistan , and curriculum did not do enough to highlight great leaders & extensive history of Muslims

Ditto.
at some point in my childhood i wanted to be Zeenat Aman but as i grew i got more influenced by awe and aura of Indira Gandhi. I cherish the fact that I saw her in person and even shook hands with her.
Wow!!!
You met her??? You're lucky!
She died before I was born. :(

I repect her for her spunk, not many leaders in India had her kinda gravitas and charisma...Narendra Modi is the only other leader with similar traits. JMHO!
