Question:Are they really going to keep all employees/students under surveillance and make sure they eat their food? Should be very easy to get around this.....
Also if someone finds out that a person is indeed fasting they arent going to go and report you, the chances are very minimal.

Even with all those other countries if such a thing came to pass China would be hesitant as it would take time to replace such large amounts of crude. That being said China is not dumb to do such a thing so this all conjecture.

Venezuala can and wants diversification from usa. Russia wants diversification from Europe. China can accomplish a lot more fast. Iran barely has clients due to sanctions and cannot piss of china. and kazakhstan sells majority of the output to china.

You forget it is mostly Turkic states who have problems with Chinese policy in Xinxiang today let alone in such a scenario as Sinan brought up. Btw who told you Kazakhs are more atheists? Their government chose a secular constitution but the people strongly identify as Muslims and new mosques are being built nearly every year with funding from KSA and Turkey. Anyway a lot of the CAR leadership are holdovers from the communist era who are getting up there in age which actually hinders the Turkic union movement in some aspects but that should change as they die out.

Kazakhs are not ateist. They are pretty much muslim but have a bit more relaxed aproach towards Islam. More like Turkey.

What we need is Turkey to take the helm. And steer remaining Turkic countries. Kazakhistan->Azerbaijan->Turkey->Europe natural gas line would be perfect...

Have you visited Kazakhstan. I have .Most of the people there are moderates,atheists or nominal muslim. Religion is controlled by state strongly.
