General Raheel Sharif might be invited to lead or coordinate the newly formed Islamic alliance against terrorism, after all he did succeed in Pakistan, and his experience and abilities are proven in real-time situations..

I thank General Raheel Sharif for his services towards Pakistan. He did many great things and eradicated TTP, magar akhir me Nawaz ka pittu nikla. He did not act on Model Town massacre and many other things. All in all, he was a very good COAS, but at the end of the day, he was Nawaz Shareef's pittu.

It was and still is not his duty to act on the model town massacre. There are many more similar incidents. You have the police and judiciary for that.
As a matter of fact police should be the first line of defence for crimes. If they are unable to meet the challenges then rangers or army can be called by either the elected representatives / assembly or by judiciary. They were not called in Punjab but rangers are called for in Sindh and that is why they are on the ground there.
We always look up to the army for tasks that need to be done by police and judiciary. Once they do come then we expect them to leave and start chanting the democracy mantra. If they don't come then we start questioning their loyalty.
In pakistan institutions have failed or are toothless and we have no one to blame for it ... No one but ourselves. We elect "chour uchaka chaudharies" as leaders and expect them to work and pass laws for the masses.

The nation was, is and will always be indebted to you for the way you looked after your armed forces subordinates, the families of the shahuda who you looked after with generosity and zeal... the nation whom you made to believe in itself and above all the suffering that was eased in Fata, karachi and the whole of Pakistan. You were a true leader, a commander and a soldier. May Allah give you a long, healthy and a successful life ahead. Ameen
