Agreed. I will truly miss him. He was a great COAS and the relations he had created with the tribal elders were amazing. I truly hope the next COAS is able to create just as good if nor better relations.
He was a soldier. He will be maligned by our emotional and immature elements that wanted martial law and nuclear war but indeed he ruled the hearts of the people.
Our short term goldfish memories have made us forget the horror days of 2009-2013 and we were so desperate due to attacks that many were advocating peace with them having control of FATA and some were going as far as saying nuke FATA for the greater good.
Now that we have relative peace. It's bcz of him. I don't play favorites but I do know that if we have relative peace, CPEC like project and the end of the Baluchistan conflict and relative peace in Karachi then its bcz of him and that's quite an achievement in a three year job.
