Why are we surprised at or even bothering about what Fareed Zakaria says about Pakistan? Do we give a damn what Salman Rushdie says about Pakistan?

Zakaria is an intelligent man and qualified for his job but, as an Indian-American, his anti-Pakistan bias is well known.

Are you happy and thrilled the way Pakistan is going? The daily bombing of Muslims by the 'non liberal Muslims' (in pure terms terrorists), the total confusion in Pakistan over the Abbotabad happening, the incarnation of Pasha and the Armed Forces as such, the total freeze in governance, the dire financial and economic situation Pakistan is in, the sending of a Minister to Saudi Arabia to ask for money to salvage the Pakistani National Budget etc etc?

Yet none realise that there are sane and liberal Muslims since they are drowned by the rabid, animal like fundamentalist who bay for blood and when they find it difficult to operate outside, they kill innocent Muslims within their own country!

I'm talking in terms of his geopolitics not religion he has no credibility when it comes to pakistan he's an indian living in america and he's never even stepped foot there in pakistan he is not an authority on our affairs.He can stick to india and islam.

When did Glenn Beck talk to anybody? When is he ever taken seriously? He doesn't need to be on ground when the leaders themselves are coming to him and airing their opinion. Anyways I think you are completely biased and its showing. Intellect? May be you should look up the word in dictionary. He was given honorary degrees by not one but four major universities. May be they don't know much that you know.

Fareed has a PHD from Harvard in Political Science for gods sake. He studied his Bachelors in Yale and president of Yale Political Union. Don't even compare him with Glenn Beck.

Bill O Reilly was a graduate of Harvard University as well, this is what he has to say.

Again tell me, where has Fareed Zakaria lived for a long period of time outside the US, & done serious journalism on? People like Robert Fisk, Tariq Ali, Noam Chomsky, Christopher Hitchens, Norman Finkenstein etc that have spent a significant part of their lives abroad or dedicated their lives on a particular subject/area of study without having any pre-planned agenda are real intellects. And Fareed Zakaria is not one of them, despite how many people he's interviewed as a TV anchor. At the end of the day, he has to air the views of the channel. He might be a very smart guy, but he's not really an intellect. I stand by what I said.
