I wonder what happened about Imran Khan saying drones are the most insane way of fighting terrorism. That quote will not age well and for sure come back to bite him.

He can and will continue saying this. The ‘absolutely not’ was only for direct US bases, but for airspace access, there is not much opposition. I think Pakistan this time is formalizing this as an agreement in which its interests and sensitivities are considered.
Now as far as what to ask in favor, it should be economic lead - no aid I hope this time, it does more harm than good. However a settlement on outstanding CSF balance may be welcome.

this is not incompetence, one need to understand the environment that is established within a couple of months in particular.
we are dealing a war on economic front. there is a hype that has been created. IMF talks creating issues effecting stock exchange, FDI with drawing, FATF playing politics effecting every investment, media playing criminal, mafias are active causing inflation.

anything you do on arms procurement will be negated by the economic weak.

everything started is by foreign powers to deal with what we have refused. tragedy is we are selling lots and always ready to sell cheap hence the visits to US by the political figures and deputy secretary meeting for dirty politics. they know everyone is ready to play foul.

who to blame when we ourselves are traitors to bring us down to knees and the formal agreement to use Pak space. with this we will give up everything including CPEC and the threat sitting next door on the west.

what do we need those F-16s for and all those goodies when we have no fuel to use them. how vulnerable we are at economic front is to be known to every one and this is the front we have to fight the war.

Even I am surprised by just how short sighted they were after witnessing utter carnage, destruction, and violent bloodshed of last 20 years that wreaked maximum havoc and chaos on border areas. As soon as there is light at the end of the tunnel and finally a chance for peace, they pull this insane stunt. Now we know all that talk about peace and stability in Afghanistan was just another episode of PTI making maximum fools out of awam and especially PTI followers. PMLN must be celebrating at this moment and giving mubarak to each other.
