Am I allowed to post this here? I found the only confirmed image of the Taiwan F-CK-1 C/D with upgrade that adds capability for 2 more TC-2 Skysword missiles. The plane will also be getting an indigenous AESA upgrade from a choice of two companies.

Two are under fuselage and on each pylon next to fuel tank.

A company spokesperson said that this includes the $2.3 billion XAT-5 Blue Magpie advanced jet trainer project (AT-3 Tzu Chung replacement), now under construction at the state-owned Aerospace Industry Development Corporation (AIDC). In addition, there will be a $2-4 billion upgrade of the AIDC Indigenous Defense Fighter (AN/APG-67V4 radar replacement) and a $4 billion Indigenous Defense Submarine project with EW sensors. Finally, the spokesperson said further plans include a $5 billion Aegis-like destroyer project and a $4 billion missile patrol frigate project.

Strange name Mind is making strange images. 4 is I think too much. High probability of getting hit and explosion

It is an interesting design similar to the JF-17 but with better payload capacity. But since the F-16s are being released to Taiwan its utility is limited especially with no exports.

Why its production got ceased ?
Because Taiwan got F-16 and 130 is a good number.

They don't need exports though. Taiwan is raking out billions of dollars on its indigenous defense industries.
Taiwan has supersonic HF-3 antiship missile and Skybow 3 in ABM and anti aircraft equivalent of S-300/S-400.

Wdym? RCS is very low(F-16 level) and Chinese aircraft like J-11 and Su-35 have very high RCS that is easy to detect from far distances. If pilot is really good he can take out 4 chinese aircraft.

What the... was that?

Looks a bit like the YF-17 and YF-16 had a (1) conjugal relationship resulting in the FCK-1

The AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kuo (Chinese: 經國號戰機; pinyin: Jīngguó Hào Zhànjī), commonly known as the Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF), is a multirole combat aircraft named after Chiang Ching-kuo, the late President of the Taiwan. The aircraft made its first flight in 1989. It was delivered to Republic of China Air Force in January 1994 and entered service in 1997.[2] All 130 production aircraft had been manufactured by 1999.

Taiwan initiated the IDF program when the United States refused to sell F-20 Tigershark and F-16 Fighting Falcon jet fighters following diplomatic pressure from China. Taiwan therefore decided to develop an advanced indigenous jet fighter. The Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), based in Taichung, Taiwan, designed and built the IDF jet fighter
