Most probably in January we would be seeing it in PN fleet, and the 3rd one will also be here in Pakistan by mid next year.

4th one is far away for the time being.

Thanks very much, Taimi Bro.Your efforts were much appreciated. BTW, do you know by any chance, how much efforts and materials would require for PN to make it inter-operable with Gulf, Turkish, Chinese Navies?

and perhaps it is the fourth one that will matter the most as with it comes the technology to manufacture them at home...

The fourth ship will be constructed at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) with complete transfer of technology from China.

Sword / F-22P Class Frigates, Pakistan

The F-22P or Sword class frigate is a 2,500t multi-mission, conventionally powered frigate built for the Pakistan Navy. Design and construction of the F-22P started after a $750m deal was signed in 2005 between Pakistan's Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) and China Shipbuilding Trading Co (CSTC).

The deal involved an order for construction of four F-22P frigates for the Pakistan Navy's fleet. The deal included an order for four to six Harbin Z-9EC helicopters and ammunition for the frigates. The first of the frigates, PNS Zulifqar, was delivered in September 2009.

The second and third frigates are currently under construction at Shanghai's Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard, where PNS Zulifqar was built. The second frigate was launched in October 2008. The frigate will be named PNS Shamsheer and is scheduled for delivery in January 2010.

The third frigate was launched in May 2008 and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2010. It will be named PNS Saif. The fourth unnamed frigate is being built at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works under a technology transfer agreement signed with China. It is expected to be delivered by 2013

sir what do you mean by this one word rep???:D
i mean do you want to say that they are operatrable together by default or that they cannot be made to do so ever.
as far as i think they can be operated and be interlinked or by default.
i am sorry sir but it will be very nice if seniors like you shed some more light on certain topics rather then giving confusing answers. sorry again..

thanks!

I don't see what effort and material would be required to make the ship interoperable with any of the mentioned navies: that already are.

See international fleet exercises already being participated in by PN with the current Type 21 ships.
