F 16s are buzzing Lahore

And Indian army was in Lahore

And India captured 6-7 times the territory that Pakistan did

1. Outskirts don't count.

2.

Even if hat last statement was true, doesn't mean much if the land you captured was pretty useless in the first place, and supposed to act as a natural buffer zone.

No they're Hindustani. Lockheed gave you guys some super stealth prototype which daddy Trump approved for his best pal Modi

Hindustan didn't achieve anything either, the war was a stalemate.

Dont blame me, when the word buzzing is used in a sensational headlines .
Indians normally call it a stalemate , we dont celeberate it .
Neither do we celeberate the 1971 war , though its called vijay diwas. The army holds a few functions.

Yeah always respect the fallen, brave souls!

In my opinion, it depends what the fallen fell for.

We should all support those who died fighting for causes we believed in. But that's it. We can recognise that it was unfortunate for the violence to occur in the first place, or that the opponents were brave, but supporting someone who is totally against you is, in my eyes, strange.

For example, I don't support Raja Dahir, but I do recognise that at the end he fought admirably for his people, and it's somewhat ironic that his people (us) ended up supporting Qasim instead lol, but that's how things go. People aren't bound by blood, they are bound by ideals, even if they refuse to admit it.

Hindustan has typically kept a policy of calling it a defeat/stalemate from what I remember, up until recently.

None of these wars should be celebrated, because nobody won without receiving some nasty damage. Even in 1971, yes Hindustan won (perhaps the only war between Hindustan and Pakistan with a definitive winner) but it still got hammered pretty bad.

However, celebrating certain parts of these wars is fine, like how Pakistanis celebrate the fact that the army successfully defended the country.

Jammu and Kashmir is a Hindu land. Nothing to do with Pakistan.

Cannot compare to India and Britain.

India had nothing to do with British Empire.

Jammu and Kashmir has everything to do with India.

If the descendants of Islamic invaders don't like India they can go to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Timbuktu.

So your comparison is illogical.

Except Jammu and Kashmir is Muslim majority... it pretty much belongs to us.

However, since neither side can currently take all of Kashmir, we should just send any Kashmiris who want to be Hindustani to Hindustani Administered Kashmir, and any Kashmiris who want to be Pakistani to Pakistani Administered Kashmir.

As for people who want independence, their only option is to fight for it via insurgency, which is a shame because it pretty much means the region is unlikely to receive peace anytime soon.

On the internet, you are only a handle until you introduce yourself in detail. And in this case, you are an utterly annoying handle who derails our threads. Now its only fair if the mods let you wreck havoc on our threads, then we can put you in your place as well.

My detailed introduction is next to my identifier. Besides that, most of the respectable members know me. I can't help Johnny-come-lately types; they have to dig around on their own. I look forward to your putting me in my place.

You are being cute now. 1965 has never been called a defeat in India. Always a stalemate , with India ahead as we captured 4 times the area that you captured.

Apologies. From your behavior, I have consider you only a professional troll. And this thread is not the place for introductions. That activity is reserved for the Members Area. This thread is for us to celebrate our courage in kicking Indians in the guts and teaching them a lesson. Please live up to your detailed introduction and stop derailing the thread.

That is as neat a job as I have ever seen! Now I have no way out but to shut up and leave you chaps alone. Subtle. Very subtle.

US didn't allow Turkey to do that I doubt they would have allowed customization of their IFF.

@gambit @Bilal Khan (Quwa) can you share you views on above.

The base is under Pakistani control but it is built on US guidelines and it is most advance air Base of PAF.
It will require US approval, but I'm not sure if that requirement expires or not after 30-40 years. Countries have been customizing F-5s and F-4s with non-U.S. systems as of late.

What a thread.

@Joe Shearer you started the teasing and @hellfire you joined in. Now we have 7 pages offtopic.

Hmm. In my personal belief the dissection of all wars should be done in the senior section to avoid the falling of the standard and to attract better posters who can make valid points. Otherwise you will have a discussion going absolutely nowhere.

Hellfire you are right. Wars are decided on political goals and objectives however as you very well know objects of a war and even battle change and can change drastically. Especially when a war escalates. What was the initial objective to capture akhnur bridge ( and akhnur) and cut India from Kashmir turned into a desperate defence for lahore simply bcz the war changed and transformed due to escalation.

I can write many many paragraphs on the war bcz I have studied it a lot. I can write about blunders of both armies on military and intelligence front and how they both lost opportunities.

Joe, I am not sure but I don't know when war became a game of counting losses. If a side has lost 73 soldiers and the other has lost 80,any would say the 80 lost the battle simply counting losses. There is a lot more to war than losses.

6th September is celebrated as defence day of lahore and sialkot which it was...

Quite frankly all these wars have taught me one thing.

Our major cities and capitals are at borders.

Quetta borders Afghanistan
Lahore borders India
Karachi borders sea
Muzzarafabad borders Indian Kashmir.

Heck parachinar the largest city of FATA borders Afghanistan.

In every war especially one we don't see coming we will lose territory on our major cities and capitals and its something we can't avoid. I feel this is a major disadvantage we have with India and Afghanistan. An army making a major thrust against an unsuspecting country is bound to lose territory in its initial stage.

Anyhow again the dissection of the war is to be left at senior section.

Btw how a person can join senior section :police:
