F-16C/D Block 52 formally Inducted in PAF s' No. 5 Squadron

Albeit, my understanding is that the middle figure should be 16 aircraft since Zesty-1 & 2 arrived long before the well documented numbers. In any case, 60+ Airframes are sufficient to equip 4 units, considering that at one point each Squadron had some 12 aircraft on strength.

i was wondering the same thing for quite some time!-- so roughly the first2 squadrons have around 24 f16s each?

16 to 18 a/c per sqdn.

my sense says the 9 a/c may be 'sub-ordinated' to the CCS squadron

I highly doubt the PAF would keep some 50 F-16s on a single base. Perhaps a new squadron is working on conversion. Some of the older F-7s and Mirages must be nearing their shelf life.

The two sister units often lend their aircraft to the CCS. A new satellite airfield not far from the main Sargodha base does represent an interesting location.
