Extremists TALIBANS want to impose their agenda on people: President asif zardari

The question still lies that if Pakistan removes its troops from the eastern border it will be supremely vulnerable to Indian attack if that could be guaranteed not to happen I doubt that PA wouldn't want to finish this problem once and for all.

Do you think that india is going to attack pakistan if you remove troops from your eastern border.!!!! War will happen if there is troops or if there is not if at all it has to happen.. but i dont think we have such situation for war. And i havent heard about an infltration from india to pakistan either which calls for high number troops for manning the border.... so i don't think that the reasoning given is not actually believable.. and i really doubt pakistan army's willingness to clear out this mess..!!!!

The recent build up by Pakistan Army on the eastern border was because of the War-Anthems coming from the east. Things COULD have escalated back then but tensions take their sweet time to defuse. Hence, the build up on the eastern border. Army isn't deployed on the border ONLY if there is an infiltration from the other side. Pakistani forces were deployed for the sake of defending the nation from any Indian intervention. IAF fighters crossing the border into Pakistan didn't help either.

India isn't in a position to attack Pakistan because hostility from both sides right now wouldn't benefit any one.

And regarding your highlighted line, are you talking about the Taliban Mess? If yes, then I don't see how you can put all the blame on Pakistan Army for the current mess. They were doing their job and still are but the 'Democratic' Government is the one responsible for giving a green light to the Swat Peace deal.

Replying to a question about drone attacks, prime minister said taking decision about attacks is government’s responsibility not the governor.;):agree:

Prime Minister Gilani said Balochistan’s sense of deprivation should be removed on immediate basis. There is no need to be worry in the presence of public representatives in the parliament.

Taliban move to expand control in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) - Taliban militants in Pakistan's Swat valley have moved into another district in a bid to broaden their control despite a deal designed to end extremist violence, officials said. Hundreds of armed Taliban from the scenic northwestern valley have entered Buner district, only 110 kilometres (68 miles) from the capital Islamabad. They have set up checkpoints, occupied mosques and ransacked the offices of non-governmental organisations, a local administration official said. A Taliban commander said they would set up strict Islamic sharia courts in Buner as they have already done in Swat, but would not interfere with police work. Indications of a spread of Taliban activism will likely fuel criticism of the accord agreed by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari earlier this month for Swat, which the United States said amounted to capitulation. The central government lost control in Swat, a former ski resort and jewel in the crown of Pakistani tourism, after a violent two-year militant campaign to enforce strict Taliban-style sharia law. It agreed to allow sharia law courts in Malakand, a district of some three million people in North West Frontier Province that includes the Swat valley, in order to halt the violence. Despite that, the Taliban have not yet disarmed and appear to be trying to exert and expand control. "The Taliban who have arrived from Swat have increased patrolling, banned music in public transport and rampaged (through the) offices of NGOs and taken their vehicles," local government official Rashid Khan said. "Taliban militants armed with rocket launchers were manning the checkpoints and operating from local mosques," he said, added that a report had been filed at the local police station against "unknown militants." A Taliban commander said his men in Buner would set up an FM radio station and Islamic courts in the mountainous town. "We will soon establish our radio station. Our Qazis (Islamic judges) will also start holding courts in Buner soon," Mohammad Khalil told AFP. "We will not interfere in the police work, they can continue their job," he said, adding their purpose was to end a "sense of deprivation" and to provide speedy justice. "People in their dozens have come to invite us" to extend sharia. Swat valley descended into chaos when a radical cleric, Maulana Fazlullah, used his illegal FM channel to threaten opponents and motivate his followers, residents say. Fazlullah's men executed dozens of state workers and government supporters, prompting thousands of people to flee. Muslim Khan, a Taliban spokesman, told AFP from Swat that "the government writ is not being challenged in Buner and Taliban are not creating any hurdle in the administration's work." "The Taliban will leave Buner after enforcement of Islamic justice system," he said. However, several residents said they felt "scared" and planned to leave the Buner area, fearing similar violence to that in Swat. North West Frontier Province's information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the government had fulfilled its promises in Malakand, "and the Taliban must lay down their arms." "The militants' activities in Buner are in violation of the peace accord. After the agreement there is no justification to take up arms," Hussain said, although he played down reports the Taliban had taken over the district. "The government writ in Buner is intact," he said, insisting that officials had not abandoned the area. Meanwhile, in neighbouring Dir district, a senior administration official was kidnapped by "unknown" people, according to another official.:angry::angry::disagree:

Unfortunately with news coming out of the east this is exactly the kind of problems Pakistan is facing do you for one moment think that we can let our guard down against an enemy that is bound to utilise our weakness albeit only for a few years. The number of Soldiers that Pakistan has lain down for this cause are the perfect answer to your question of Pakistan Armies willingness.

Dear everybody has to blame , no 1 is right! but still we can adopt common agenda, to clean this mess out, once they are out , we can still fight fake battles in our national assemblies, after all we are pakistanis, & we are 1 nation, with all of our differences , but it is a common threat to our country , & we should take stand against it?

I hate the policy of making peace deals with terribans and then screaming that they want to impose their agenda ....

Armed militants roam in Buner, shut-down courts
Updated at: 2005 PST, Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Armed militants roam in Buner, shut-down courts SWAT: District courts in Buner have been shut down by force while all the records from the courts have been removed.

According to sources, TNSM Amir Maulana Sufi Muhammad had given a deadline of April 23 for appointment of Qazis after removing judges besides setting up of Darul Qaza. This has led to the closure of the district courts, sources added.

Some of the Taliban had visited the courts and they said that these courts will be shut down tomorrow, sources said. But the Taliban leaders have denied issuing any orders in this regard.

They further said that they are only on a visiting mission in response to an invitation. They said the government and Maulana Sufi Muhammad have reached a pact on a judicial matter and that they will continue to stick to the orders of Sufi Muhammad.

Amusing how these people go around announcing decisionas if they are the new revolutionary and they lead the nation as they please I feel that Paksitan needs to counter these terrorists very soon or they will overrun the country with their own pleasure they even have a forward base in Islamabad in the shape of the Lal-Masjid and they are winning the war quite well.
