Most of the time im using a external mouse, occasional i would use the touchpad. The touch pad protector reduces the sensitivity of the touchpad, at least in my experience.

The main issue is with the side of touch pad. The way you position your hand for typing or playing game, means your hand are rested on either side of the touchpad, which are rubbery, and after a couple of days, it looks worn out.

It depends of the quality of the Protector too and Find a Good one it Might Help You other Solution is get a really Good Mobile Screen Protector and use that one
