The main objective of the drill was not sinking the AC but paralyzing it and towing it to an Iranian port. How stupid can on be to think that in case of war the Iranians will want their waters polluted with radioactive material from the two AC's nuclear reactors. It is far more rewarding to get all the remaining tech of the AC along with its nuclear reactors than sinking it, which should be an easier task...

Cut the nonsense please. The objective was never sinking the mock carrier, it was to shoot few missiles at it and test all means of engagement. What a lame comment indeed. We could put tons of explosives in it and sink it in few seconds if it was about sinking. It will be used again in future for different tests.

Iranian commanders clearly declared that they only use this mock up as a practise target and they MENTIONED it clearly that it is being built in a way to prevent it from sinking... they want to use it for more target tests... It is actually built in a way to be able to be used for many times... they practiced to siege the ship and test some missiles.... that,s all... they even used scaled down warheads as previous tests... they once said they tested a Kosar cruise missile with a 30kg warhead and it was enough to sink a corvette size vessel... they said... imagine what will happen if only one of their hundreds of missiles breach US defenses and hit its vessels with +1000 pounds warheads
