i am unable tio get the links as of yet, but here's as it goes:

The first batch of QRF (Qucik Reaction Force) comprising of individuals from Punjab Police passed out form Mehfooz Shaheed Garison, Lahore today. They were trained by the Pakistan Army in anti/counter-terrorist training and was aimed at 'raising' a Police Force that would be trained on the lines of the military to tackle anti-terrorist affairs.

It is a guud step as the police which though is trained in anti-riot/mob control operations would also be exposed to the ATT/Special Ops stuff, thus making them more capable to tackle these issues at their own. Moreover, this will ultimately allow the military to 'transfer' its IS duties as regards to terrorists to the Police.

Good idea but it should not be under police ,it should be under National Security Council.

You are asking for raising a New force from scratch specifically dedicated to COIN ops, but we are talking about 'training' and equipping the LEAs already present on Pakistan's ORBAT.

police main role is to maintain law and order and terrorism is a threat to law and orders these days then they must be trained to handle it. otherwise it would mean we dont need police anymore coz they are not fit for the job.

I am engineer , view things more practically ,if you put more load on existing foundation which is already failed to bear the existing load ,what will be the result.


We need restructuring of police force, if each year top scientist(engineers and doctors) of your country are opting DMG,POLICE etc its means there is some thing wrong in your basic infrastructure .
