Do you think for 11 billion, we buy 80 -85 eurofighters and keep quiet. I didnt say anything you agree eurofighter is lost as minimum requirement is 126.

When the number of fighters needed went up to 260, what this really means is that political factions can't come to an agreement so they will buy from more than one company.

I think it will be F-18 Super Hornet and Mig-35. Gripen is too similar to LCA. Rafale and Eurofighter are too expensive.

I desisted from posting on this thread for a long time, thinking that this thread is a goner any moment.

However, it seems to have survived, so here are my two cents!

This info has been sourced from swerve @ kepubs which was also corroborated by a few other posters there. These fellas are as reliable as anything can be regarding eurofighter.

Eurofighter costs:

T2 - €13 billion/236 = €55.1mn = $76 mn

T3 - (€9.1 bn - €2.5 bn = €6.6 bn)/112 = €58.9 mn = $81.3mn ( for T3A version, 2.5 billion removed as it is for the uprade of T2 version)

Lol no european fighter is bound to win. Only rafale has chance, but will win even if orders are exceeded 200+ because deal will likely be split between rafale and SH.
