Eurofighter Typhoon frontrunner for MRCA

France is trying to get rid of RAFALE by giving us 40 of these cR@pPy fighters from their own inventory...tells a lot about quality of these planes..

EF all the way..
No friend they will give 40 fighters from their AF and soon they ll replace with new ones.

So are their bills..
EFT is more costlier than rafale.
A Country which tries to milk us in every possible way...Scorpene and Mirage upgrades are enough to convince everyone ...
And we will be a partner of the COOPERATIVE SOCIETY..
We are partner means those 4 countries will be milking us for the new upgrades.
But french directly transfers source codes with full tot.

.
Personally, I think India will go with RAFALE, because nobody else really has them. Gives India the element of surprise.

.
 ..it's Ra~fa~le, first thing IAF must do is give the Rafale a dangerous Indian name like Vindaloo ..or..

Blame the T9 dictionary for that. And dang! That a killer name Mon!!!

imagine the pilot...."yes sir, i am a vindaloo squadron leader".

Hey DBC , do u know what is Vindaloo actually is
it is a traditional parsi staple dish quite popular in the indian State of Maharashtra

by the way how does the name VAJRA PRAHAR sounds to u
it translates to Lightenning Strike
considering the fact that Mirage 2000 of IAF are called Vajra

EFT not gonna make it to the summit, too many hassles. where as Rafale suits the role of a comprehensive fighter.

vindaloo is Portuguese dish of any meat cooked in lots and lots of vinegar and it tastes YUCK, its famous in goa state not maharastra. and by the way she doesn't know what parsi means.

.
Just a note, I know you will stick with EF, because you always support the outsider.

:lol: Those posts were not for you..

Anyway I am still hopeful for F-16..A little palm greasing is required and we will see IAF flying the most successful 4th Gen. Plane..

Hmm.. That means the current lot is not at par..

Wrong..The upgrade cost will be divided into five partners...

. . .
for those of you who keep complaining that we will have to foot the bill for the eft as a partner - you are all ignoring the positives - we will get returns as well - eg when aesa is ready and we paid for it and saudi eft need it - they will pay us too..... and eft seems to be extremely popular in the world right now- I'm pretty sure more orders will keep coming and as partners we will get returns from those too.
Yes, rafale will give us tot and source codes - but with the eft as we will develop the aesa and upgrade tech with the consortium we will get development experience - something no amount of tot and source codes can give.

Consider all of these facts as well when you shout that the eft is too expensive and we will have to pay for the development etc

. .
we should go for rafale and tejas mk2

buddy, think about it, so many countries have evaluated the rafale, but no one seems to be buying it......why??? If its really as good as the specs say then it should have an order book as long as the eft's

I thought Vindaloo meant 'fiery' at least that's what I was told
How about Falcon or Eagle in Indian?

Not many countries can afford it and none are willing to risk being the first international customer.
If India has short listed the Rafale it obviously means the IAF is not concerned about acquisition/operating cost and has confidence in the Rafale.

The confidence also comes from the fact that we operate their planes(mirages) now, and IAF likes them.
