There is no confirmed link to that. AFAIK 2 are shortlisted atm Apache and Havoc.
The Indian Military asked for a modified prototype of Mi-28 fitted with French and Belgian avionics

That was a proposal for an heavy lift healicopter by Eurocopter, comparable to the Sikorsky CH 53, or the Mi 26 and for IMRH there is no competition, the Mil and Eurocopter were just possible co-development partners, but that project is far away at the moment.

Likely winning candidate will be Eurocopter, given the long Indo-French collaboration in turning out rotorcraft.

The good experience might be one reason, but I think the AS 550 is simply more capable and proven, which means it gives IA and IAF (hopefully also IN) a low risk and fast to induct option. I think there should be some negotiations regarding common systems, or parts between the AS 550 and HALs LUH as well, possibly the same smaller Shakti engine.
