EU has been at odds with US foreign policy from the iran nuclear deal and now china, US wants to isolate china and prevent china to be a global competitor to US, the EU doesn't like the idea. like i said, if Europe doesn't view US interest as theirs why would the US do the same?

its about trade. If usa can compensate EU for lost trade maybe they will pick side.

China is everybody largest trading partners. But EU must choose, trade with china or US security guarantee. There are place that are in need of those US troops such as the baltics or asia pacific. I think germany is confident enough with their defence, their foreign policy emanate such.

UK excellent choice of distancing herself from China (huawei) is a good move btw. Shows how if the US is determined enough to put pressure it could come out on top and champion it's interest.

I know my country has already approved Huawei's 5g and so have some of the European countries. US lost the 5g race to China, just get over it
