Erdogan signals closeness to Russia
Global Village Space

On Friday, the presidents of Russia and Turkey chaired the 6th meeting of the High-Level Russia-Turkey Cooperation Council and had a second, private meeting behind the closed doors.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Moscow, accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, to take part in the 6th meeting of the High-Level Russia-Turkey Cooperation Council. The Turkish leader also had a second, private meeting behind the closed doors with Russian President Putin.

“The discussion covered the entire scope of Russian-Turkish relations with a focus on the further restoration of mutually beneficial trade and economic ties,” says a statement on the official website of the Russian President.

An intergovernmental mid-term trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation program for 2017–2020 was signed, as well as an agreement between the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Turkish Sovereign Fund to establish a Russian-Turkish investment fund with a capital of up to $1 billion.

Also signed were a memorandum of mutual understanding between the foreign ministries on diplomatic personnel training and the sharing of informational documents and a memorandum of understanding between the Federal Service for Intellectual Property and the Turkish Patents and Trademarks Agency.

Other documents concern holding the bilateral year of culture and tourism in 2019, cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Turkish Ministry of Justice, cooperation in the small and medium-sized business sector and cooperation between the news agencies of the two countries.

Following a meeting in Moscow, the two leaders held a joint press conference.

Normalization Completed?
“In our official statements, I believe we can dispense with the phrase “normalization of relations” because we believe we have already passed this stage on issues such as Syria and regional security. We have considered these issues. We often hold telephone conversations in the course of which we address these issues,” President Erdogan stated at the press conference.

The Russian leader has also acknowledged that the political dialogue between the two countries has resumed.

“The meeting in this format is taking place after a pause that was caused by the well-known tragic events. Proactive political dialogue resumed between our countries, and so did efforts by foreign ministers to coordinate strategic planning. The mixed intergovernmental commission and bilateral civil society forum have also resumed their work,” he said.

“Russia and Turkey have great potential for further advancing their neighborly relations. Together, not only can we make up for the opportunities that were lost, but also raise our cooperation to a new level. At least Russia is willing to do so and committed to moving in this direction,” Vladimir Putin added.

He finished bro..........After being defeated in Soorya and Iraq by the Russo-Iran-Hezb axis, and getting coup'd as a result by his handlers in Washington (for not performing in the battlefield).........this man has no respect anymore.

Says who???? As far as the Turkish folks are concerned they're ready to die for Reis Erdo'an by throwing themselves under the tanks. The Turkish forces are already 40km inside Vilayet-i Sham (Ottoman designation for the Imperialists created artificial countries called Syria, Jordan etc.). And, this is just the beginning. Descendants of Xerxes or Hasru or Shah Ismail didn't have a chance in the past, nor will have in future....

i never mentioned habibi for that reason. Nor iranians for trying to become elite. these 4 countries i mentioned have mix shia sunni population and people loving wanting that.
About caliph. Any muslim from these countries is acceptable for me. as long as it unites us. My choice would be a grand shura of grand religious scholars based on test(as every so called peer will try to become one) managing decisions including electing one a caliph. Within 10 years habibis will be overthrown by their own people to join this caliphate.

Habibis will take that caliphate as a serious thread and that caliphate will replace Iran and will become enemy no. 1 of Habibis..

and don't forget Habibis and Roohani Peshwas have alot of influence in Pakistan, Sudan, Afghanistan..

Turkey is will be divided between two groups one that call for Caliphate and other will call for Turkey(nationalists)..

Before you sit for an exam don't you think you should do your home-works? The complexity of the international politics requires high level of professionalism from those who are to take such decisions. If a decision is taken when the time is not appropriate it kills any chance of achieving the goal whatever the goal may be. This lack of prudence or hikma in those who seek Islamic revival always disappoints me.

there is no way to defeat th elites who are controlling our regions for personal benefits. That's what hikma is. But the hears says ordinary people can do it. we together can.

Everybody knows it but what I don't understand is how you call being aware of the existence of something hikma? I think hikma is the ability to take the right decision at the right time. For centuries Muslims have shown their failure in this area. Hence, Allah has given them nothing but defeats.

When you take Soorya and Iraq from our grip, then you can talk big. Your boss uncle Sam is up to no good with his azad Kordistan fantasies. We are not the ones who started this shit in the Levant, however we will end it!

Keep in mind, we are not your enemy, at least not yet.

why not start international barter trade and state creation money debt free to fund home projects. i believe this is the one that will kick start revival.

1. usa- andrew jackson throw out rothschild banks and issued debt free money and usa progressed.
2. germany under hitler - throw out rothschild central bank and issued debt free money and international barter system within latin countries. germany become advance world power.
3.gaddafi of libya - started gold and silver currency.
4. venuzela has tried barter international trade.

Erdogan's Obsession With Killing Kurds Could Necessitate a US-Russia Alliance in Syria

Turkey's insanity in northern Syria could make a US-Russia detente a reality

Thu, Mar 9, 2017 | Russia Insider

What a weirdo.

We're not joking: Turkey has become so crazy that it might require Russia and the U.S. to team up in northern Syria.

Actually, we suspect there is already a high level of cooperation that is not being publicly disclosed, for political reasons.

Here's what Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told CNN Turk earlier today:

"If the Self-Defense Forces don’t leave Manbij we will deliver a strike against them. We have openly stated this. If Russia comes in support of the Self-Defense Forces in Manbij or in other place, it will become a problem for us," the foreign minister stressed.

He's talking about violently removing Kurdish forces backed by Washington and Moscow from Manbij. This is how crazy Ankara has become. (And there has already been sporadic fighting between Turkish-backed "moderate" rebels and Kurdish forces around Manbij.)

And now the Turks are turning the assault on Raqqa into a "trainwreck". The reason? Because Erdogan can't decide whether to attack the Kurds or ISIS.

As the Telegraph reports:

The assault on the jihadist stronghold threatened to descend into chaos on Thursday after the Turkish government and the main US-backed rebel in Syria each demanded that America exclude the other from taking part in the attack.

Turkey’s prime minister accused Kurdish fighters within the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) rebel group of being “terrorists” while the SDF said Turkish troops inside Syria were an “occupation force” who must leave the country.

Fighting broke out near the northern Syrian town of Manbij, which is held by the SDF, last week.

The tension has escalated to the point that the US has deployed its own troops in an effort to prevent more shooting between the two sides and a senior American general conceded he was worried the rivalry could undermine the fight against Isil.

Erdogan might achieve the impossible by uniting Russia and the U.S. in a common cause: curb-stomping Turkey. Or at least putting Erdogan in the time-out corner.

Zanier things have happened.
