Prior to todays announcement the Saudis, Egypt even the wider GCC were all involved in a shadowy coming together of minds with both Saudi and israel taking the lead against IRAN


Israel in the past has relied on american prestige and influence to try and further its own goals in the middle east

for no good or reasonable reason Trump has decided to spend more American prestige on a dum declaration about Jerusalem that will needlessly inflame the arab and Muslim world and reignite anti israel emotions

so the recent detente between Arabs and israel gets derailed or sidelined at a minimum and allows iran to grandstand and stay on course

Trump did not screw Saudis. Saudis did it them selves this situation will benefit Iran most as every Muslim will consider Iran fighting for the Palestine cause and Saudis not doing enough. right now they are screwed, trump is about to announce an incendiary policy statement that will infuriate muslims around the world

American prestige and influence is already at a all time low, it will take a further battering.
