What's new

EOI for manufacturing and assembly of 80kN thrust class engine

are you the product manager of kaveri jet engine or the chiarman of GTRE :sarcastic:

......lolzzz first go and make a decent 100cc motor cycle engine of your own :haha:

then come and lecture us about owr products :yes4:
before that they need to make 70cc ..

Because it was useless to develop this engine. We needed 90-93 KN (Tejas) , 40 KN (For AURA) and a 25 KN (Passenger Jets Trainers) and Engine. Kaveri fits into none of the requirement.
It definitely power the AURA.

80 KN engine for what??

LCA Block II got F-414..80+ KN engine has only one purpose,Fighter Jets..

Only thing comes into my mind is something like this...

X-47B_receiving_fuel_from_a_707_tanker_while_operating_in_the_Atlantic_Test_Ranges.jpg

OR may be it is a test platform to test concepts of AMCA.

MIG 29 K can also use Kaveri

Because it never achieved 80 KN...the best it could do was 70 KN....

It never achieved trust more than 70 KN's....

Yes idiot, kaveri never achieved thrust more than 70 KN....
Well my congenital moron frnd, we are not talking about a Pakistani military complex, which never fails in it's testing but disintegrated rockets rains over general population. If you have any solid information then please share with us or else just buzz off.

ya thats right and it seems after working on with relevent people for some time now MP has decided to restart kaveri project as according to indsiders he wants to proove his legacy by diliverring AMCA & AURA well before anyone had anticipated

Kaveri project got shelved. This seems to be K-10. Atleast they seem to be moving. I think Kalyani Group or, Reliance should come forward. If successful, the partner will have a huge advantage over others.

I dont think so.

K 10 is JV so its thrust will not be just 80 KN.

The engine mentioned in OP is Kaveri.

That's always a good answer. :enjoy:

Seriously though, why would they shelve the project if it achieved 80 Kn?

Beacuse requirement demanded thrust of 90 KN.

They cannot even manufacture a 2 stroke engine

Let's hope AMCA & AURA are delivered in a time bound manner

2XKlimov RD-33MK of Mig-29K is doing fine.also, the present engine produces 89 KN thrust.why we're going to make Mig-29K underpowered??If there arises any need for future engines for Mig-29K,it is possibly going to be Russian, again.

RD 33 MK fitted on Mig 29 SMT & K produces 79 kn thrust
RD 33 fitted in JF 17 gives 84 Kn thrust but have total engine life reduced to 2200 hrs from 4000 hrs.
I am talking about re engining option of MIG 29 K of navy when their respective engine life expires as Airfoece Mig 29 already are in process of reengining with new RD 33 MK.
