Ensure national flag is hoisted at madrasas on Aug 15, Jan 26: HC tells UP govt

The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday directed the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure that the national flag is hoisted at madrasas across the state on Independence Day and Republic Day.

A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice Yashwant Verma passed the order, directing the state government to “issue necessary directions in this regard”. The order came on a Public Interest Litigation filed by one Arun Gaur, a resident of Aligarh, who had prayed for issuing directions to ensure that flag hoisting ceremony was held at madrasas on August 15 and January 26 in the same manner as done at the offices of various bodies controlled or assisted by the government.

The court, while issuing the aforesaid directions, also asked the state government to file its counter-affidavit on the PIL and fixed September 22 as the next date of hearing. -

Why are they forcing to hoist flag? Flag should be hoisted by people who respect it irrespective of religion.

So do not know the need for the court order

Those who do not respect country's flag have no right to live in that country and avail its facilities and rights given by the constitution.
It is sad that court in our country has to pass an order to hoist flag. All institutions have moral responsibility to inculcate patriotism and respect for the country.

The country have enough people who respect National flag. One cannot force patriotism on its people. Even large amounts of Hindus do not respect national flag. There are enough Patriotic Muslims in India.

We should be proud of such peoples who respect India and its flag. Do not have patriotism? I do not care.
Karma is a bitch even for them.

Sadly no.

Just see the history of this poster. And his favorite tactic is to call that commie beggar and traitor @jamahir to supprt his views
If refusal to hoist the national flag is a considered as a personal liberty, then such personalities have no, No Whatsoever place in under the Republic. They are more than free to legally immigrate to wherever they want to practice such liberties...
