Bangladesh is in fourth position after China India and Indonesia in the number of tertiary level education enrollment. I am not sure about the percentage, BD could be the topper as it got the lowest number of population.

What about the USA??? It should be higher in USA also!!!

Dude only Allama Iqbal Open University has 33,05,948 enrollments per year.

Only one university in Pakistan can beat your entire country that too with fair margin.

NOt about informal university.

Bangladesh also has open university but i dont know the enrollment rate.

And open university enroll in secondary level education as well.

USA has a higher enrollment rate but probably not as many as these 4 countries. You will see degree colleges even in the villages now. I did not see that many colleges in USA.

hahahaha... you dont give up huh...

We have a open university called Bangladesh open university home

The national university is just a registrar of thousands of tertiary level colleges which are not independent university. National University

I am not sure why you are bringing Allama Open University as we were not talking about informal education.

Allama Iqbal Open University gives formal education also that's why.

Bangladesh open university and national university both enrolled so far more then 1.3 million students based on 2005 data. Now it should be more. Last year around or more 500k students passed HSC exam. So you can easily imagine the number should be much higher now. Even including that uni what is the total enrollment rate in Pakistan???

So here are are the higher education enrollment rate and education budget of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. India is slightly ahead in terms of enrollment which I think within next 2-3 year Bangladesh will overtake but India has lower education budget then Bangladesh. Pakistan lagged behind both India and Bangladesh in both cases but very low education budget is a matter of concern.

Bangladesh:

Higher education enrollment: 20 lakh
Education Budget: 22,145 crore taka or 2.7 Billion USD (2012)
