This was all a political stunt to begin with and while we Pakistanis being emotional fools dont see it, others do. In the past month more than 6 blasts happened in a single month, over 100 people lost their lives, if anything we need to pay attention was to why the government failed to prevent it? The answer lies in not letting NAP being implemented again who's fault is it? This is just a political drama bazi, locking down the entire city isnt going to send a message of confidence to anyone the least of which are foreign cricketers. For that to happen peace needs to be established first.
Yes i do live in Lahore. Rest of your post is mere nonsense and not worth replying. You are the one sending out a wrong message to foreigners, for god's sake nothing is and will be on lock down expect the actual stadium. Do you live or ever have been to Lahore? The same security measures will be taken for any cricket match held in Pakistan in the foreseeable future NAP or no NAP. It is a shame that people like Imran Khan are using this for political point scoring.

This article is worth a read share here so i am just posting the link

The highlighted part of your post is why i labelled it nonsense the first time because you tried to paint it as politics and as usual bring IK into every debate. Did i asked who you voted for? Do i care whether you voted for Nawaz or IK? No i dont so Instead of writing lengthy crap post try to remain on topic and focus on the message being delivered. And not everyone who speaks against his highness has some sort of a personal vendetta against him. Get it through your thick skull. The author clearly has a vendetta against Nawaz Govt. and before you label me as a noora, i voted for Imran Khan. Whatever he has written is pure conjuncture, Peshawar Zalmi's foreign players have already confirmed to participate and i would care less even if they don't come. He is citing rumors regarding ticket sales to PMLN supporters, what army would have preferred to do instead and the event being an attempt at diverting attention from Panama case or political chest thumping.
All i know is that for average, non political, pessimistic and patriotic Pakistanis, this event will,
1) Entertainment, the way it is supposed to be, not for the few residing in UAE or the elite who can travel to watch it.
2) A moral boosting reply to terrorists that we will do the exact opposite of what they want.
3) A chance to see cricket in Pakistan, no matter if it is our local players playing against each other.
I don't understand the people who are crying about heightened security, Chief of Army Staff, President, Prime Minister, all chief ministers and many other dignitaries will be there, would they rather want less security to make it easier for terrorists to strike?
None of the wise *** arm chair general like you have answered a simple question i have asked, if after Radd-Al-Fasad is concluded and we have a cricket match after 5 years of no terrorism incidents, do you think we should/will not have the same security measure in place? Will you guarantee that our enemy, who is hell bent on not allowing cricket to return to Pakistan, will not try to sabotage it again?

No you are not specially when you decided to bring IK and politics into your first reply so cut the crap. Also than you should have the decency to admit that having psl final in Pakistan is nothing more than a political stunt by Nawaz and co and that too at the expense of Pakistan? Moreover no International player worth his salt is playing Kevin Peterson, Tymail Mills and Rilee Roussouw are all out. The only left overs which are coming well most are not even part of their own home team. Here:If you still cant understand that everyone is trying to score political points using the PSL final then i envy the lala land you live in. These so called "Analysts" are nothing but paid pawns used in the dirty game so either you are stupid enough to base your opinion on their "Analysis" or you yourself are here on a pilitical agenda. I am taking the PSL final from the perspective of common people from whom it is nothing but a source of pride and entertainment. I care less what Nawaz or Imran think, i love the fact that a match with international players is being played in Pakistan and if you take off your bias tinted glasses you will see that successful organization of this one match will go a long way in bringing back cricket to Pakistan.

https://www.dawn.com/news/1317835/d...-players-unlikely-to-add-flavour-to-psl-final
From the article:
"But one glance at the list of second-choice players will definitely raise eyebrows since it includes a mixture of discards, mainly from the West Indies, English county players and a host of retired cricketers. In a nutshell, the quality of the final is being compromised by the overzealous organizers in calling up the forgotten lot.
Just imagine this: who has ever heard of Steven Taylor? A namesake of an English professional footballer, the Taylor in question is a 23-year-old left-hand batsman from the United States of America. Another virtually unknown commodity is Akeal Hosein, a little-known all-rounder from Trinidad".
Now label this as biased as well because i expect nothing less from you.
The purpose should had been to help restore international cricket in Pakistan and that can only happen when the root cause of it going out in the first place is addressed which is terrorism and not by turning lahore into a fortress. But i know you are not going to see that because people like you are either too dumb or utterly naive to see the real picture. RIP logic.
I am glad that you are happy with all this drama bazi which no one took seriously other than clueless morons such as yourself and neither will it help restore Pakistans Image as a safe country for international sports. So carry on with the delusions just dont expect others to do the same. After watching the opening ceremony alone, your whining has no value at all, i can see a full to the brinks stadium, i can see happy faces, i can see foreigners wearing our colors so i can care less for the security and for the 3rd class players. I am happy for my country and love the fact this final is happening in Lahore so you can take your whining and your conspiracy theories and cry with tour face burried in your pillow.

My delusions is shared by 25,000 odd sitting in the stadium, can be seen in the streets of Lahore and echoing on the entire social media. Sorry my friend its not me who is alone, its you.
