England Cancels Pakistan's Cricket Tour Due to Security Concerns

Thanks for the advice, will try to keep me up to date on history. Here my general perception was as Falkland physically seems near to Argentina and not UK.
Whats the distance from Spain to Argentina? I forget these things sometimes. I don't know why some people here are shilling so hard for Argentina. they treat their own brown people pretty shitty. But somehow this gets forgotten because they are buying something from Pakistan. Or like the Myanmar govt that treats muslims like shit. Or the Chinese with the Muslim Uyghurs.

I mirror those who cannot argue and descend into stupid baseless personal comments. Have you not seen what the others have posted? If They posted a reasonable answer they would get one from me. I have a low tolerance for the uneducated. If you have internet access then you have the ability to argue your point but these people descend in to the same old tired tropes.
Bobby you are being dishonest. U have been parroting nothing but the counter points being low iq, uneducated and boring. While asking us to read books given our education standards. Granted we don’t speak queens English, but at least try and argue the merits, instead of ad hominem attacks. Obviously those attacks are not going to go unanswered.

Ok Well you have given a fair reply and I answer it fairly. I don't like it when fellow Asians can't see the woods for the trees. For a large chunk of my life I listened to these ideas that somehow we are victims of a conspiracy that all white people are racist. I have seen the organizations that run things like Cricket/football and they are risk averse. they simply will not take any chance out of fear. Not some deep seated desire to "Stick" it to Pakistan cricket. The failure is that

1) Any risk exists at all at sporting events. The Sri Lankan team bus attack will not be forgotten in a hurry. There are still bombings that occur on a regular basis with Pakistan. And there will be in the current political climate a group that will want to cause as much disruption as possible. the messy exit with crowds of people fighting to get on planes is an image that lingers

2) Security is frankly a joke in Pakistan From corrupt police to lackadaisical attitudes to security. (The attacks on the Air force bases, naval bases) Attacks on french Engineers working on Pakistani ships. Attacks on Chinese Engineers working on projects for Pakistan.

3) The sale of the JF17 has nothing at all to do with this. The US has been offering F16's to Argentina for a while now (Which Argentina has rejected) And if the UK wanted to Cause issues to Pakistan a cricket tour is small fry.

I have noticed several members taking jabs at each other in this thread. This is completely uncalled for.

@Dalit

Pakistan have made PSL a success story with much effort in recent years. It is a profitable enterprise. Many in Pakistan play and watch cricket in fact. It is not fair to assert that Pakistan should drop cricket due to cancellation of tournaments by New Zealand and England in Pakistan. People should look at the bigger picture of sports in Pakistan.

Pakistani play other sports as well but are internationally competitive in cricket among all.

GOP (Khan administration) is attempting to promote different types of sports in Pakistan in fact. Pakistani Olympics participants were also given hefty cash prices recently which is encouraging decision.

This is your first reply that is productive and non-condescending, and is appreciated. There are parts here that I agree wholeheartedly.

The only other thing I’ll say, if you come on a Pakistani forum and argue the benefits of being a queens subject be prepared to get a little flack for it. Don’t expect some of us to cheerlead that thinking, and I am not saying we are correct. What we have is an equal right to a belief and are willing to listen to open franks counterpoints. But we won’t be talked down to. As to your point about telling the forest from the trees that is an affliction that straddles all sorts of people. In fact I’ll argue desi have a greater proclivity of seeing vast forests where there are sometimes only a collection of bushes. But then again people think all sorts of things.

In parting please return our prized possession the Toad of Karachi, he is being yearned for here in Pakland. I am sure it is a misunderstanding on the part of the UK authorities. They are unaware of this fellow and his shenanigans.

Pak must sell now JF-17 to Argentine. Also, cite the reason that it is China-Argentine sale.
This is independent development. Sports have no bearing on this matter.

Pakistan can pitch JF-17 Thunder to 'many' countries to earn some revenue. China wants to do the same as well.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if this deal runs its course to a successful conclusion.

Then WHY NZ even traveled to Pakistan (given the above two points) i.e. just to leave the Country before a cricketing event to bring bad limelight...? They could have made a case of not traveling to Pakistan based on the above two points... it is like yes our esteemed "Five Eyes alliance" have completed their "due diligence" and given us a green signal to travel to Pakistan but then ... a "U Turn" on that assessment...

Out of curiosity, who made the most money from betting on the match being called out 60mins before toss?

Better still, why can't cricket be given back to it's rightful owners, the LGBT community and Pakistan should move on to bigger and better things?

I ALWAYS hated it when I was younger that my family destroyed my athletics career in sprinting and hurdles but watched faggot cricket matches.................... :disagree:

That is so sad to hear, to be honest I like playing and watching cricket not as much as I used to watching the likes of Wasim, Waqar, Mohammed Asif and Shoaib Akhtar ripping through the teams, unfortunately the same quality is not there anymore, corrupt practices in Pakistan has destroyed the best talents In Pakistan and will take a long time to be a world class team.

Unfortunately BCCI has destroyed the gentleman's game of cricket with massive corruption and allowing Politics to interfere and influence thier decisions which other Western countries have followed with unilateral decisions.

Why 3 million refugees are still in Pakistan? is this not a security risk? they would be sent back to A-stan

.
We should not play cricket to theor home grounds let them play india heir crowds soon get fed up with cricket

time to increase pool of crocketing countries start from now to bring china in cricket it will bring influence and money over powrring india and england but it will take time few psl matches in china will grow interest

Hopefully this unites those corrupt a-holes because even their wallets are in danger. it is make or break for Pakistan cricket, they now have the opportunity to set up a cricket infrastructure that works in Pakistan.
If all the corrupt people are able to realize what will happen to them if they don't get it right I think it could get things done.

BCCI can do what they want temporarily but there was hegemony of others in the past too...and their time is gone. It is possible to come back from this especially if Pakistan's non-cricket economy starts going - because no one can ignore a market of 200 million.
