Pakistan should boycott cricket. ICC will come begging once Pakistan does this. There are very few good cricket team left and when Pakistan out from this cricket waste time will come ppl will loose interest in cricket.


We can have local cricket, there is not much difference in terms of quality in international cricket and our local cricket.

Pakistan should invest in mma, grappling, archery, olympic lifts.

I concur, and they follow their objectives with a vicious ferocity while we don’t … do you have any hope from the current ruling generation who are in their 50s and 60s …I do not … look at how difficult they have made (the babo shahi) any accountability process to flourish across the board within their class … the corrupt elites are too rich to even care since they can leave the Country on a slightest indication that they will be caught … the poor have no choice to do whatever it takes to survive and the sufaid posh middle class try to hide their internal situation and pray for things to get better … the real patriotic “ahle nazar” and qaabil people have been pushed aside by the wadeera class of this Country so who will you bank on … I used to think that a revolution like one in Iran might be the answer to the ills but then it dawn on me that if the awaam were capable of revolution it would have been came long time ago when the Country was divided … have been hearing about “dandey waali sarkaar” for quite a while now but looking at the current lineup of candidates waiting to take the place of the existing leadership in various institutions of the Country I am not very hopeful … may be that leader and his peers will not be from mainstream group … the Country needs operation cleanup against corruption…it is way long overdue.

Now? It was from the beginning. What will happen of the EU retracts it? Some economic losses and hardships. I suggest moving forward very swiftly with getting China into Afghanistan and CAS.


Expose Pakistan to other sports is all I am suggesting. Cricket might be popular, but so was field hockey once. Time to promote other sports in Pakistan. Is that a harmful thing?

That's why you see the frozen assets of Afghanistan and sudden cricket cancellations. Get ready for some hardship in the near future. As Talibs get rolling expect some punches to start flying.

Some fighters are household names already, Pakistan has produced some talent in field hockey and fighting. Lets all step away from cricket for a second.

Those who follow cricket might understand better but it's looking like the British government or British High Commission in Islamabad had nothing to do with this. UK Gov guidlines are good for travel to Pk and UK HC in Islamabad have no reservations about security.

This appears to be decision made by ECB. Exactly why ECB would use the NZ cancellation as a excuse is something that cricket pundits will better understand. However Indian influence is one reason cited - particulary IPL's reach on English players.

Many Pakistani posters say that the government in Pakistan should stop funding cricket in favour of other lesser known sports. Does Pakistan actually allocate money from the National budget for the development of cricket? Is PCB not a self funded private body (like BCCI in India)?
