End of the love affair with Pakistan : washingtonpost

Its good for pakistan. The sooner pakistan shift entirely to chinese camp, the better.

I feel differently.

Pak must not shift to any camp. A nation must stand by itself. Today with the possible exception of parents there is no one who shall ever help you without an agenda. Implying thereby that you only fit into a profile that is relevant to the ' helper'.

Once the profile is complete or the priorities of the helping nation change then you shall be left in the lurch. This is something Pak has learnt the hard way on more occasions than one.

" Khud hi ko kar buland itna...."

we all know if US want some thing it wont care about what pakistan thinks.
and i think Pakistan have to wisely look at the situation and take benefit of the situation as there is always a big chance in very big condition.
so Pakistan is facing most criticle time of its history . and now has the chance to shift slowly slowly. because americans are not caring about pakistan and pakistani camp also is now in deciding mode with america.
may be some thing is going to happen very soon.
Once Gen Hamid gul said that.
Americans will quit at once, they wont quit in long time. and i think it is very very near.

Can Pakistan stop its ambivalence and break the American umbilical chord once and for all? Why are they cursing the Americans and accepting those billions of dollars in aid at the same time? You can't look a gift horse in the mouth.

And then someone mentioned here that Pakistan should ally with China instead. Pakistan is already fully allied. But remember, China will stay clear of the unfolding chaos in Pakistan and Afghanistan as they do not want to get embroiled in Pakistan's war. And more importantly, China would not give a penny to Pakistan unlike the Americans. And without those dollars, Pakistan's economy would be devastated.

In other words, Pakistan is between a rock and a hard place.

It wont be much of a war I assure you...

U need not assure us !!!!!!!!
We know how good u really r.
ie After 10+ years of war in afghanistan against a rag tag enemy the situation is that u have vacated 80% of afghanistan and now are only concentrating on the major urban centers. Things are so bad right that all road transport permits/taxes in afghanistan are issued/collected by the taliban, even the us and nato pay the taliban couple of hundred million a year to keep their supplies open.

This after the us alone has spent more than a trillion dollar over the last 10 years. So go and make these lame a$$ threats to mexico or canada. As in this region "u have been weighed, u have been measured and u have been found badly badly wanting."

great opportunity for India to exploit the situation.... we should get the best out of this mess...

Brother, Afghanistan is a mess.

The misson of US in Afghanistan is not to exterminate its citizens. It is experimenting in Afghanistan with democracy. Some do not want to cooperate (in simple terms).

It is up to Afghan nation to sort out its mess. The world can only facilitate this nation in its purpose.

And you do not judge US power projection capabilities on the basis of state of affairs in Afghanistan and associated issues.

If US would want to wipe out Afghanistan from the world map, it can easily do so.
