Britain is a constitutional monarchy. Didn't you know that? And Tunisia had a president for heaven's sake. An authoritarian president. Not a monarch. Seriously, did you just crash land from Mars here or what?

sir monarcy is monarchy....be it constitutional or absolute or whatever u wanna call it....people dont have jobs in britians and royals are wasting money on lavish wedding.

The Monarchs are real popular in UK so nope dont see any sign of them going anywhere. Secondly UK is a constitutional monarchy i.e. the Queen technically has some powers but she rarely ever uses them.

I wander whether the killing of the 3 Asian origin victims have anything to do with the Far Right. EDL members openly praise about their hatred and destruction towards such origins. The recent Norwegian incident confirms that although still a minority, the far right has seen a sharp rise in Europe and Asian ethnic minorities have faced some sorts of racial discrimination recently.

It was not the state that killed the innocent victims but a barbaric moron who mounted the pavement. For what reason we don't yet know. But trying to blow it up saying US SHOULD IMPOSE A NO FLY ZONE??!! what are you thinking? Hundreds are killed every month in Pakistan and at that BY THE STATE but even the US hasn't imposed a no-fly zone over you but it over one of its most trusted allies?


And please don't bring in race into this. Yes these men were of Pakistani origin but that had NOTHING to do with there deaths- it could have been any group of unlucky individuals. Even one of the poor victims' father has publicly said this is NOT A HATE CRIME and he doesn't want his son's death to be used for political/religious point-scoring. Don't use these victims' tragic deaths for your own agenda.


+ I dispose the monarch and would be happy if this brought them down but that is really not going to happen, at least not in this case.

All is fine in Britain and we do not need to make any change in the system.

Just change some policies towards the minorities and everything else is ok. These riots will be over in next 2 days and hopefully will not be repeated for decades to come

OP is on crack. Those 3 Pakistanis were killed by a LOOTER and were trying to DEFEND their community. Go see the video of one of the boy's father before carrying on this line, folks..it's in the thread on the killing in this section.

It is surprising that instead of commenting on the lawlessness and inappropriate method of expressing anger by the protesters ppl want to turn the situationon on its head by calling for no fly zones !

@ the subject, UK would do well to learn from S Asia on riot control. Maybe a detachment of Haryana / Punjab Police or the Provincial Armed Constabulary ( PAC) of UP should be sent there. They would bring things under control in hours
