2ndly, anyone with basic knowledge of the vertebrae would know that the quickest and painless death is beheading

And even then we arent allowed to eat any animal stressed or with broken bones/ hoofs, torn ear, hurt eye and so on...not visible scratch is allowed

I am not sure why indians bring this up...Maybe in india people find it a sport to harm animals but during bakra eid any animal seller will tell you how much they go through to ensure their animal is the best ..

Sure there are some idiots who overfeed the poor beast....or would fatten it with excess water or some fast fattening food, but the guy will also know he may not be trusted next season! We dont deny it...We show bakra mandi live on tv for people to see the faces of the idiots who harm animals!

And one of our Pak friend explains to me the scientific butchering of animals through hammering or animal bolt .One thing I have seen in news ,one reason for my removal of beef from menu once and for all.

@Akheilos Indians are deliberately hypocritical. Uniting when the cow is slaughtered by some poor muslim but turning a blind eye to the mistreatment of an like elephant with even a deity for it named Ganesh. This shows the double standards present in Indian society and the purposeful stigmatization of Muslims. When we shoot a monkey we are not only fined but jailed but since Hindus themselves are involved in harassing elephants this is a no go area.

Who said India doesn't have its religious chauvinism? If its not visible in suicide bombings it is visible in lynching a muslim for cow slaughter. Akbaruddin was absolutely right when he said that you say the cow is your mother then why do you sell the cow knowing it will be slaughtered. Hindus are themselves responsible for some of the worst animal rights abuses but are united over stopping slaughter of cows only to eat them, even for muslims who are told to eat all that is lawfully available to them. Secularism in India died the moment Gandhi was shot.

Indians like to act they are pluralistic and respect other religions. Everything I have seen negates this however.

What no outcry ?

Elephants are protected under the law and resides in National Parks all over the country, however these elephant owners require permit to own an elephant, plus Elephant is a cultural symbol of Kerala.

We know how to conserve wildlife considering the Rich Biodiversity of India from Asiatic lions to Rhinos.


As for cow, it has nothing to do with Hindu or Muslim.

Majority of Indians 80% + can't tolerate Beef especially Sikh dominated Punjab.

So not only Hindus but Sikhs are also against Beef, also Christians have similar food habits like Hindus and according to their respective states.

These Elephant rights folks-mostly whites have some facebook page named save Kerala elephants or something.Its focused mainly on a few incidents & generalization.

When the April 2016 Kerala fireworks accident (at Kollam) happened that page was filled with''Oh these bloody brown animal abusers deserved to die'' & ''I hope the elephants are safe, though I don't give a damn about the locals'' kind of racist remarks.Nothing surprising,really.
