Electricity shortfall in the country reaches 8,500 MW

Almost all the homes in Pakistan must have gen-sets now i guess...!! But the electricity they produce is very costly as compared to that provided by the grid.. It must be a drain on the common people monthly home expense.. How much do you guys have to shell out per month for that ganerator driven electricity?? Any approximate amount??

Sad situation... Hope it improves in the times to come..!!

1000 rupees everyday for my home, so thats about 30k rupees per month. Pretty much all businesses are run by using generators, it has literally drove up the prices sky high.

. .
load shedding can be solved in few months why?

we already have installed capacity..all we have to do is to convert them into coal and improve billing

if we run them on gas now and improve billing we can still manage due to 30% hydro producition

PM takes notice of power outages, protests | DAWN.COM

Great news everyone, our PM has also taken "notice" of the severe power outages and the riots caused by them. :disagree:

Cannot believe to what low standards our nation has fallen..

gilani-pm-afp-670.jpg

Look at that moron sitting, he does not have to endure the heat nor does he have to endure this inhumane loadshedding. How can people like him EVER represent our Pakistan?
Pakistan's People's Party? My a-ss.

. .
Both India and Pakistan better solve this power crisis issue , for a healthy economic future.

That's correct, the economic future of Pakistan is at stake here. I can't expect much improvement in Pakistan's economy without electricity. That's why this issue has to be given greater priority, not only is the populace suffering, but the country itself is going to suffer via increased unemployment, inflation, devaluation of currency, & a reduction in purchasing power parity, etc.

So please educate me, how does burning a train help with loadshedding?

That's the typical behavior of Pakistani protesters. They think they can solve their issues by destroying stuff belonging to their own country. Have you ever seen Pakistani protests against Israel? They tend to destroy & loot shops as well as burn tires in those protests too. Damaging their own country is their idea of a protest. I feel no pity for such morons.

Sad and stupid, to say the least.

With citizens like these, who needs enemies? :(

NO!

Why burn anyone's house? What you are suggesting is NOT correct.

Sad and stupid, to say the least.

"Stupid" is probably the least offensive word a person can think of to describe them.

With citizens like these, who needs enemies? :(

I agree, another thing that annoys me about them is their lack of ambition. I find it annoying when many of them cheer others on while accomplishing nothing for their own success & prosperity.
