Congratulations to Muslims, shias for their imam was chosen by prophet pbuh. Sunnis as their prophet told them who is the dearest friend to him. Congrats anyways
I have fear, i would end up as a politician :undecided:
Imam was chosen by Almighty as will imam Mahdi. Khalifa of people was chosen by people. People even today can pick people's Khalifa but not Allah's sent Imam Mahdi. But I strongly believe as a follower or prophet Muhammad(may peace be upon him) as a last prophet,my master, my wasila and imam Ali as my master as to get to the right path of those who are on right path. In this day of disparity, hunger, cruelty and assault on Muslim with hating propaganda both Shia's and sunni's need to become part of one body connecting us to the spirit of truth and last prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (may peace and darud on him).

In last year of the prophet (pbuh&hh) life and after "Farewell Pilgrimage" which in the Messenger of Allah (pbuh&hh) ordered to his close followers to call all the people in different places to join him in his last pilgrimage. On this pilgrimage he taught them how to perform the pilgrimage in a correct and unified form.
In 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah of 10 AH and in the way of return to Medina from Haj this verse was revealed to the prophet of Islam:

5:67
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

After 22.5 years of hardship,,, Mecca and all its troubles, Medina and all its struggles, wars , losing beloved wife and companions, being insulted,,, which in prophet of God has preached everything from Quran, Haj, Fast, Prayer, Zakat, Khoms, Jihad, Marriage, Enjoining good and forbidding wrong to the people and also in final months of his life Allah says to his prophet in the very verse that "If you do not preach what I've just commanded you, your message(Islam) is not completed"
And what is more important is the second part of the verse
"And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people." ..
'cause whatever the message was it could make some people to harm the prophet (pbuh&hh) ....The last sentence in the above verse indicates that the Prophet (pbuh&hh) was mindful of the reaction of his people in delivering that message but Allah informs him not to worry, for He will protect His Messenger from people.
What could the message be which without it being delivered to people all prophet (pbuh&hh) teachings and efforts to guide people would not be completed while everything from Quran, Haj, Fast, Prayer, Zakat, Khoms, Jihad, Marriage, Enjoining good and forbidding wrong to the people have been revealed earlier???what is this which without it Quran, Prayer, Haj and all aforementioned items would turned to be useless????

Before this and in Mecca and in several occasions prophet (pbuh&hh) preached people on very important thing "Tradition of the Two Weighty Things (thaqalayn)":

I am leaving among you something which is very important and should be followed, you will not go astray if you get hold of it after I am gone, one part of it being more important than the other: Allah's Book, which is a rope stretched from Heaven to Earth, and my close relatives, who belong to my household. These two will not separate from one another till they come down to the reservoir, so consider how you act regarding them after my departure."
Tirmidhi

Upon receiving the verse he stopped at Ghadir Khum to convey the message to the pilgrims before they dispersed. the Prophet (pbuh&hh) stopped on that place (the pond of Khumm) which was extremely hot. Then he sent for all people who have been ahead in the way, to come back and waited until all pilgrims who fell behind, arrived and gathered. He ordered Salman (R) to use rocks and camel tooling to make a pulpit (minbar) so he could make his announcement. It was around noon time in the first of the Fall, and due to the extreme heat in that valley, people were wrapping their robes around their feet and legs, and were sitting around the pulpit, on the hot rocks.

On this day the Messenger of Allah (pbuh&hh) spent 5 hours in this place; three hours of which he was on the pulpit. He recited nearly one hundred verses from The Glorious Qur’an, and for seventy three times reminded and warned people of their deeds and future. Then he gave them a long speech. The following is a part of his speech which has been widely narrated by the Sunni traditionalists:

And again after several times saying the Tradition of the Two Weighty Things during "Farewell Pilgrimage" the prophet (pbuh&hh) repeats it one more time in Khumm:

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh&hh) declared:
"It seems the time approached when I shall be called away (by Allah) and I shall answer that call. I am leaving for you two precious things and if you adhere to them both, you will never go astray after me. They are the Book of Allah and my Progeny, that is my Ahlul Bayt. The two shall never separate from each other until they come to me by the Pool (of Paradise)."

And Then and after reciting nearly one hundred verses from The Glorious Qur’an, and for seventy three times reminded and warned people of their deeds and future and a long speech the Messenger of Allah continued:

ألَسْتُ أولى بالمؤمنين من أنفسهم؟
"Do I not have more right over the believers than what they have over themselves?”

قالوا بلى يارسول الله.
People cried and answered: "Yes, O’ Messenger of God.”

قال: من كنت مولاه فعلي مولاه. اللهم وال من والاه و عاد من عاداه
Then Prophet (S) held up the hand of ‘Ali and said: "Whoever I am his leader (Mawla), ‘Ali is his leader (Mawla). O’ God, love those who love him, and be hostile to those who are hostile to him."

Immediately after the Prophet (pbuh&hh) finished his speech, the following verse of the Qur'an was revealed:

This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.(Qur'an 5:3)

After his speech, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh&hh) asked everybody to give the oath of allegiance to 'Ali [a] and congratulate him. Among those who did so was 'Umar b. al-Khattab, who said: "Well done Ibn Abi Talib! Today you became the Leader (mawla) of all believing men and women."

I am afraid you posted this festival in wrong section of forum.

@WebMaster

Hi,

Some pictures with two figures are only to serve bloody politic propaganda of ethno-religious doctrine of Mullahs as seen in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, nowadays Yemen, and also an insult to the Islam and Muslim.

The most important problem here is it is a direct shirk.

Will you please end this bloody politic propaganda disguised in religious event and spare the Islam away from them in this forum?

Thanks.

Sir I don't question your motives for this post. You are a Shia living in a Shia-majority country so you can be oblivious to these sensitivities.

But you are posting this on forum of a Sunni majority country. It is considered extremely blasphemous in our faith to show shabih (picture) of the Prophet(SAW) and even picture of the companions like Hazrat Ali (R.A) is not taken favorably.

While our narrative of the events you described above is different to yours, you have the right to present yours. But please remove the images. These are the kind of sensitivities that both school of thoughts will have to understand if we are to co-exist in peace.
I second this, this violates our sentiments

Thanks bro,
Have these gifts :

I don't think that there is a divide bro,
As Imam Ali is the fourth caliph of Sunni brothers, we have many things in common.

And in history, you can see ever body after Osman (RA) asked Imam Ali (AS) to lead them. Yeah some differences, i see , but no division. I respect Rashidun (RA)
Why cant we all just follow the original Islam? Whays this shia and Sunni stuff? Follow thr teachings of the Quran and not religious leaders that have manipulated Islam for their own benefits. Are people that blind?

5:67
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

This is was during Hajjat Alwada':

"Ḥajjat al-Wadāʿ (Arabic: حَجَّة الوَداع; meaning: farewell hajj) was the only hajj journey of the Prophet (s) after Hijra that occurred in 10/632. After Hijra, the Prophet (s) went to Mecca for 'umra three times;[1] but, according to historians and hadith scholars, he (s) only once attended hajj rituals and it was few months before he (s) passed away.[2]" (WikiShia)

So according to your interpretation of the verse, if the Prophet (SA) had not do "Tabligh" at Ghadir Khom he wouldn't have conveyed God's message about Ali's imamah throughout his whole life up to that point (few months before he died). So by that token, every revelation, or Hadith conveyed during his lifetime up to that point is not considered conveying Ali's imamah according to Allah based on the Shia's own interpretation of the verse. Which includes many Ayat like Ali's donating his ring, or Ayat Al Tatheer (Verse of purification) or the thousands of the prophets Hadiths mentioning Imamah in Shia books.
