Pakistan government has to seek a fatwa from Egypt to stop jumma prayers in pakistan...this shows how strong the hold of religion on Pakistani society is...even during this time of epidemic govt is scared to outrightly shut mosques and ask people to perform namaz at home.
Many islamic countries have already done that..but pakistan govt cant do that on its own out of fear and has to request fatwas from Saudi and Egypt....for any person who really loves his country(and self respect),this is a matter of shame....the president of pakistan requesting a madarsa in egypt to issue a fatwa !

Pakistan is a religious society and proud of it. Fatwas is an arabic word for an educated scholarly opinion/advice and Muslim scholars from across the globe with Pakistan & Egypt included exchange fatwas and ask for fatwas on a very regular basis...nothing new. run along now, enjoy your curfew.

There is a concept of brotherhood in Islam, Islamic brotherhood/Islamic Ummah but is is not practiced in all its practical purposes.

And at the same time there is no concept of nation-state in Islam, and similarly it is not practiced in practical sense, Islamic nations are a reality here...but these are not ideal and taught ethos of a perfect Islamic world, this is the ground reality though.

Both seems to be wrong, doesn't makes one right here.

Azhar is Islamic school it’s not even Vatican so why they ask fatwa from them also who needs fatwa to stop virus and people gatherings?!

In Bahria town Islamabad. Day before yesterday immediately after ahzan, they moadan announced that after jamat prayers people should go home and pray....how stupid is that?
Sadly many many people this this is an opportunity to show how strong their emaan is. However endangering lives and misleading people is against islam and criminal. These molvis should get double and severe punishments.
