Egyptians pelt tomatoes towards Hilary & taunt Egypt will never be Pakistan

. .
I think this should simply be ignored, at best it should be laughed at for whatever value it holds.

Well, i am just back from work and i read all your comments. All i can say is you are very insecure bro. You need to get a life. People are protesting against freaking mixing religion with politics. It has nothing to do with US aide or what you been crying about. Egyptians say they don't want a theocracy like Iran or Saudi Arabia. They say they don't want to be ruled by Hamas because of Hamas affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood. I don't see any Iranians, Saudis, or Palestinians being so insecure like you. I don't think Egyptians been protesting in the streets for a year and half to build a theocracy or to leave the country in the hands of the Generals and Mullahs with the approval the US and the world. You owe Egyptians an apology.
My father keeps telling me that Egypt is where Iran was in 1979 and I kept disagreeing with him. Now I see that he has a point.

The Iranian revolution was just like the Egyptian Rev, but even more secular, because most of the parties involved were communists and nationalists. Once the Islamists took over at the end, it was all over. Now there are differences. In Iran two events helped the Islamists get complete control: the war with saddam and the hostage crisis. Had those two events not happened, they wouldn't have been able to get control of the country and keep it.

So you guys have reasons to be concerned.

btw, an interesting fact is that the Islamic Republic regime in Iran owes its rise to the muslim brotherhood of Egypt. Khomeini and his predecessors were inspired by the Brotherhood and were even getting help to fight the Pahlavi Regime.

Fadā'iyān-e Islam was an Iranian Islamic fundamentalist Terrorist secret society founded in 1946, by a 21 year-old theology student named Navvab Safavi. Safavi sought to purify Islam in Iran by ridding it of `corrupting individuals` by means of carefully planned assassinations of certain leading intellectual and political figures.[5] After a series of successful killings and the freeing of some of its assassins from punishment with the help of the group's powerful clerical supporters, the group was suppressed and Safavi executed by the Iranian government in the mid-1950s. The group survived as supporters of the Ayatollah Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Navab Safavi, who founded Fada'iyan-e Islam, an Iranian Islamic organization active in Iran in the 1940s and 1950s, "was highly impressed by the Muslim Brotherhood.[69] From 1945 to 1951 the Fadain assassinated several high level Iranian personalities and officials who they believed to be un-Islamic. They included anti-clerical writer Ahmad Kasravi, Premier Haj Ali Razmara, former Premier Abdolhossein Hazhir, and Education and Culture Minister Ahmad Zangeneh.

The ironic thing is, they're protesting over mixing the army into the government and how the country will then work, but don't they realize that by putting up signs stating 'Egypt will never be Pakistan' is basically agreeing with what Hilary has said?

Pakistan is at least 10 to 30 years ahead of Egypt and many other Arab countries in terms of democracy, so instead of putting up 'Egypt will never be Pakistan', why not put up 'Egypt will become a better democracy slowly, as time progresses'.

And Abii, does everything has to do with Whabisim for you?

.
well real problem which we are facing is political killing and govt inability(or not willing) to control it..eygpt is way better in that thing atleast

.
lets see if Clinton comes again to Pakistan... She should be treated worst.

In the dreams only.

We do not have leaders like Mursi nor are we like Egyptians who can throw the corrupt out of the parliament and the government.

.
first to all pakistanians who think that we in egypt think less of them we dont this was just a protest aginst the US why would we say something bad a bout pakistan and there are some members who started comparing pakistan to egypt as if we are going to war all i can say is this

Assalam-u-Alaikom,

1st of this thread was started by a Hindu , and I want say that they have no right to interfere in our matters , and we will never allow them to discuss our issues nor its their right, and also I want my Muslim brothers from whole over the world open their eyes and dont let the enemy succeed in making us fight with each others .....

2nd, I want say to Pakistanis that if Egyptians saying this , then we have to take a look on our policies and actions , and try to find that why other peoples are making laugh on us, or making jock on us...

they are same Egyptians who congratulated Pakistan in 1998 when we have tested our nuclear bomb and the Egyptian students sent their pocket money as gift for Pakistan, and some Egyptian girls requested to marry Pakistani men and get Pakistani Identity! (we Pakistanis are thanking them for their stand with us ) But why the same People saying "Egypt will never be Pakistan" during the protest against the U.S Foreign minister ???????? we have to think about this!

3rd, some Pakistani brothers here came to compare between us and Egypt , and we should not do this..

4th, i want tell my Egyptian brothers that they should not say such thing, because you are not living here, nor you know what is our problems and entrusts and what we are planning for .

and we never said such like "Pakistan will never be Egypt" when we were kicking out 4 dictators and protesting against them, also we never said such thing when we wanted to restore our FREE JUDICIARY , and also in our protests against USA......

I hope now this matter will end, and i am calling every one to be cool and remember that we are brothers, and we are ONE NATION ....

and this message specially for Egypt :

يا اخواننا المصريين حاولوا ان لا تكون فتنة بين المسلمين

وايضا اعلمو بان باكستان تحتاج وقفة من جانبكم هي ايضا بلدكم زي مصر بلدنا وحبيبتنا

نتمنى كل الخير لكم ووفقكم الله

pakistan is nuclear missile power which egypt can still dreaming more 40 years

never seen such stupid people

they are big mouth bastards nothing more

65 years they worshiped dictators as .mr.president mr president and after Tunis they realize they were stupids .now its great revolution of egypt . :meeting:

Wasn't Pakistan ruled by Military dictators for most part of the Pakistan's history? Moreover the Egyptians over here are trying to say that their new government is not the same as Pakistani government. You did not fight for Egyptians, you fought for Palestine. And you must be thankful to them that they were fighting for muslim Ummah aka Palestinians and not for themselves. If you are proud of your few scientific advances, then they are also proud of their history as a nation which you can't deny.

Egypt is the new Pakistan? if you ask me it all starts with Democracy in Pakistan. As some eminent Law Professional in Pakistan pointed out, Pakistan had it's version of Arab Spring during the end Musharraf Era. And one thing led to another from there in the path of a democratising Pakistan.
Democratic process alienated many interest, provincial and ideological groups within Pakistan who were expecting empowerment in a democratic system. Pakistani state failed to satisfy the stake holders in the new democratic system which is partly due to the complexity of issues and diversity within Pakistan. Pakistan Army, which has a mind of it's own and free spirited from the beginning, is also dependent on US aid and Military patronage, had to accommodate US within all this anarchy associated with the transition. The Civilian Government found this an opportunity to assert itself and went on in its path, once again choosing US patronage. This made Pakistani state as whole subservient to the US and Pakistan today has become quasi-client state.
Is there a chance of Egypt becoming a Pakistan? Most probably, NO.
