Egyptian soldiers killed in rocket attack

Seven soldiers, including two colonels, were killed Thursday in an attack in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, a security official said, APA reports quoting AA.



A military vehicle was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade as it travelled on a highway linking the cities of Al-Arish and Al-Abd, the official said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to media.



Col. Ahmed al-Kafravi and Col. Muhammad al-Bashir were among the fatalies.



The Sinai Peninsula has been the epicenter of a militant insurgency since mid-2013, when the army ousted Mohamed Morsi -- Egypt’s first freely elected president -- in a bloody military coup.

So it has begun as I indicated a few weeks ago. The destabilization of Egypt has begun. After their loss in Syria, US/Israel transported their IS fighters to Libya, the country they now control after destroying it. Unfortunately, Egypt is not prepared for this type of warfare. Egypt needs Russia's help ASAP to fight IS.

Erdogan said a few days ago that ISIS members from reka transported by US to Sainai through different routs.....mainly via Sudan and Libya.
US many statements recently that they will punish countries like Egypt that stands against moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem.
