The latest snapshot of the Egyptian ghostly Corvette "Luxor" as part of the final preparations for the upcoming launching ceremony, God willing, in the shipyard in Alexandria.

The Egyptian “Luxor” Corvette will soon be launched within the Egyptian stealth Gowind-2500 program, with the cooperation and support of France (the country of origin and design), and it is the third among the corvettes that were built within the Alexandria arsenal, and the fourth and last in the program.
The first “Al-Fateh” Corvette was built in France, and the second “Al-Moez” and the third “Port-Said” were built in Alexandria.
Corvette, which is the frigate miniaturization, where the displacement of the corvettes is 3000 tons or less and the frigates are higher than 3000 tons up till 7000 tons.
The displacement of the Egyptian Corvette is 2600 tons, its length is 102 meters, its width is 16 meters, its maximum speed is 47 km per hour, the maximum range is 6850 km, and the number of crew members is 65 + 15 crew of helicopters and members of the marine special forces.
The Corvette is armed with a 76mm Super Rapid multi-purpose gun, 16 Sylver A43 cells equipped with 16 short-range "Mica VL" thermal and radar air defense missiles with a range of 20 km, and 8 surface-to-surface missiles against ships and coastal land targets. “Exocet Block III” has a range of 200 km, 2 20 mm artillery guns to address approaching floats and atypical threats, two triple launchers for launching “MU90” anti-submarine torpedoes with a range exceeding 15 km and reaching a depth of 1000 meters, a 10-ton marine helicopter to fight submarines and transport Support for Special Forces personnel, an unmanned helicopter for reconnaissance and fire operations, and two inflatable speed boats RHIB for the transfer of marine Special Forces personnel.
The Corvette features multi-tasking to fight against Ships and planes; Anti-Surface Warfare, Anti-Air Warfare, Radar / Communication ESM and enhanced Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities, and Mine Countermeasures.
The fourth and final Gowind-2500 Egyptian Corvette, which is the third that was built in Alexandria, carries the numbering 986 and was named "Luxor"
