Egypt's adding yet another color into it's Biryani of fighter jets! They bought the Rafale's with the same "theme" that India was using. It's "active stealth" and EW / super advanced countermeasures (towed and untowed). And now comes the J-31!!

I know KSA was interested in J-31. But they will upset the Americans and the West royally if they went in that direction. MBS was preparing a $10 billion aid + loan package for Egypt. So may be it's the grand strategy to let Egypt acquire ToT (paid by KSA from the backend) and acquire these jets from Egypt as an Egyptian platform, removing the name "China" from the equation. This would also allow them to integrate Meteor and other Western equipment into this, as Egypt and KSA use French / Western tech everywhere.

I mean you have a biryani of fighter jets (same doctrine). Egypt wanted to buy the F-35 and Trump accepted but the Congress refused. So we need a 5th gen to enter into our service. Which seems logical SU-57/75 didn't enter mass production, F-35 refused so China is the only solution.
