Old enough to know that India is not the 4th or the Hundredh..Numbers are good but experience and coordination of the arms branches are a lot more important. Pls tell us, beside the many wars you had Pakistan that were limited in scope and time, and the few border skirmishes you had with China, which real war India had?
Maintaining equipments in India has been a colossal problem, that need to be surmounted before you can put India among the best , which are the Western armies. 75% of your AirForces is not able to fly à anytime, while for Europeans that number is below 25%..Even Algeria whose AirForces is not that off India by any means, keeps 75% in operating conditions at all time.
That ranking does not have bearing of the fighting capabilities of a force..

Make my word I m not saying UK is not a powerful military, but it can't win a war with India alone.
Since 1947 independence India has been fighting 4 limited war and with terrorism(undeclared war) . Hues experience Indian army have. Availability of fighters jets is now 60+ will reach 75%+ shortly . Component are now making in India.India have full range of weapons of Russia which NATO fear most including UK. So.....no chance ....please come in 2017 .......1917 have gone passed,,,ur nazi ..
