Economic jackpot

A cooperation that goes through a juicy arms trade from France to Egypt. Since 2014, France has sold nearly 6 billion military equipment to the al-Sissi regime.

The most colossal sale, in 2015, included the delivery of 24 Rafales, an ultra modern warship and their associated weapons for more than 5 billion euros. Egypt has become France's second largest customer in this sector in the last ten years. Just behind Saudi Arabia .

And it could only be a beginning. Following this visit, the signing of a new contract could be announced. According to information from Europe 1 , the purchase of 24 military aircraft would be under negotiation for a total that would exceed 3 billion euros. So we announced 12 initially. A possibility that the Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, does not rule out: "we will see if there is a new contract Egypt was the first export customer of the Rafale in 2015. So ' there may be new contracts, so much the better. "

According to a source interviewed by La Tribune, there was no default of payment from Egypt. Another source nuance indicating that there has been no defaults recently. According to the first source, Cairo has money to pay the bills. In particular, Egypt will be able to rely on gas production in the Mediterranean from the end of this year. In 2015, the Italian energy company ENI discovered on behalf of Egypt a huge offshore gas field in its territorial waters off Port Said (Zohr deposit). What to satisfy the domestic demand for several decades, to return to the export and thus to benefit from new foreign currency receipts ...

This, without mentioning the surplus Electricity exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starting in the summer of 2018 with a total of 1.5 billion dollars a year. Non-petroleum exports increased to 18 billion dollars and the trade deficit declined 46% in the first half of 2017 from $ 24 billion to $ 13 billion, hence saving $ 11 billion in six months in the trade Balance..

It is worthy to note that in the era of Sissi.. The question of saving money has never been a problem to get any deal, regardless of the magnitude or amount of money required for it .. The current leadership in Egypt considers only the capabilities of weapons and quantities and the extent of development and diversity of sources ..So, it won't be possible to stop any deal desired by the current administration in Egypt..as far as the desire and money are there..
