Economy to grow by 4.3 percent in fiscal year 2010

250 nt good by 2015..

if our economy growth rate is 6-7% then we can go above 300Bn..
and 300Bn by 2015 is obviosly very gr8..

Not true.

If Pakistan grows 6% annually its GDP in 2015 would be $237 billion
If the growth is 7% gdp in 2015 becomes $248 billion.

7% every year is not possible, it would be 4.3 this year, 5 next year, 7 next. 7% is the average for the next 5 years.

To achieve $300 billion GDP, you need over 11.2% GDP growth on an average, which realistically is not possible.

BTW $250 billion is a good number for you. You should be really happy if Pak achieves that number.

Hi
Great news, Pakistan has a huge potential, even at this stage we are earning almost nothing from Tourism, very less foreign investment, if we enhance our infra structure & pay a little attention towards such sectors it will give a big boost to our economy

wait sir jii
if we hav 177Bn GGP by 2009 and we hav 7% growth rate then 13 Bn increase wil occur in the GDP measn 190 by 2010

14 billion increase by 2011 means 204 by 2011

15Bn increase by 2012 menas 219 b 2012

16Bn by 2013 means 235 by 2013

17Bn increase by 2014 means 252 by 2014

18 Bn inccrease by 2014 means 270 GDP by 2015

between this if it grow between 4.6% then we can get 250Bn by 2015..

$177 billion is the estimate for 2010 sir.

Taking average growth to be 7%

2010 - $177.00
2011 - $189.39
2012 - $202.65
2013 - $216.83
2014 - $231.01
2015 - $248.25

I think you never checked out the source for the $185 billion number. Its a blog.

Here is the real data.
Google - public data

$165 billion for 2008
$171 billion for 2009

so lets start frm 171 by 7% growth

12Bn increase by 2010 means 183Bn by 2010
13 vb vy 2011 means 196
210Bn =2012
225=2013
241=2014
258Bn=2015

7% didn't start from 2009. That average estimate is from 2010 to 2015. If you want to take into account 2009 also then the average rate would come out to be 6.4% since GDP growth rate in 2009 was just 2%.
I used a calculator to get my figures. Check my previous post.
Hi
Jaginat must you ruin every thread about Pakistan with your canny skepticism
I am not ruining this thread. What I said is good news for Pakistan. $250 billion is just great for Pak in 2015. You couldn't ask for any better.

I am just against really absurd imaginative numbers. People expected no more than $200 billion, you are now being suggested $250 billion, thats great, why criticize the number now?
It says 2010.. while many of those numbers are from 2008.
Those numbers are similar to 2008 because of the famous financial crunch that the whole world went through in 2008 and 2009. Only some developing countries like India and China could survive the crunch without giving up gains.

take yoru calculater again and start frm 171 with 7% you will your answer 258Bn

i was using calculater too
