Eastern Ghouta: Death toll climbs to 426 as Russia blocks Syria ceasefire resolution

If the Russians weren't there, the war would've ended after a few months, as without logistical, diplomatic, strategic and other forms of support, Assad's army would crumble. The Rebels were already close enough to his residence when the Russians came along. In fact, hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved had Russia and Iran not intervened.

I know the story from Libya, and the NATO intervened early, I know. Although I am supportive of the revolution, I think that the post-revolution support never came, as it was bogged down by that very Russia which has hundreds of billions of dollars in Gaddafi's assets. With an asset freeze and an arms embargo on everyone including the Govt, the place went to hell in a handcart. These are two different situations.

You are Libyan and asking for NATO intervention. No wonder your country is in such a condition, Gaddafi a dictator or a president or cheater or whatsoever had kept Libya as a whole. The way they killed him, was savage, punching him in the nose without giving a chance to defend himself. Gaddafi wasn't like Mubarak the traitor, however not a lovely man, but without him Libya looks like would envy Afghanistan in the long run.

Without russia, Syria was occupied by Americans. Syria after being liberated from saudi israeli and American supported terror groups, will be rebuilt. No one can compensate the deceased fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, children, and the lost relatives during this foreign funded war on Syrians. But at least we can rebuild the beloved and wounded syria. Neither you nor others won't see the day that NATO occupies syria, we are there to defend it from foreign funded terror groups and foreign invaders.

Why do you look fishy to me? Wondering, who you are. Started your quotes like a dude pouring crocodile tears for Syrians and Libyan and now asking for NATO intervention. Are you an Israeli?

1. NATO Intervention - It was good for us, in the way that the interests of people of Libya and those of the NATO were aligned. Never thought that happened, did you? Libya was so much better before he came along in the 60s, and it is not that much worse now either. Just that there is no security guarantee and that the oil price depressed our economy. Just as bad as before.

Syria was always occupied by Russians during the civil war. The Americans were there in order to make friends with the Rebels, should they win the war. It's called diplomacy. And no, you don't love Syria, and you're not fooling anybody. The foreign aid to the SAA is in the orders of magnitude above anything the Rebels received. Check your facts.

And for the last time, I am Libyan. However, I am sure, to 80% that you are a paid troll. Either that or you are a Khamenei fanboy, or simply misguided. I had no problem with Iran before Yemen and Syria, and I actually quite liked it. Now, I can't say the same.

After Yemen? What do you know of Yemen? And who has kept them hungry for decades, trying to tear Yemen into pieces? Last time I checked, saudis with Emiratis were killing innocent Yemenis and whenever those poor souls tried to retaliate, they were called Iranian mercenaries while having nothing to do with Iran. You exactly know that USA has blockaded Yemen and NATO is intervening in Yemen however covertly. You exactly know that Libya was destroyed by Americans and it won't get safe for decades from now on just like Afghanistan but being Libya, she would lose her lands too. Many tribes are trying for independence and an endless war will take place among tribes armed by Americans and Europeans.

As for syria, it is not iran or russia or SAA that funded or supported terror roups. We will give any kinds of equipments to Syrian Arab Army, if it was up to me, I had sent the whole army Into Syria but unfortunately there are conditions and Syria is an independent state.

You are an other Takfiri terrorist or a Mossad agent trying hard to hide his true nature, I have seen plenty of your likes in this forum dude. Don't waste your time, you cannot fool others.

The UAE is trying to tear Yemen apart, and even if the Arab Coalition is more guilty, it does not relieve Iran from any guilt either.

Go on with your conspiracy theories.

Since you were pro revolution, are you happy the destruction and the dislocation of the Lybian population..If Putin was at the helm, nothing would have happened to Lybia..Lybia case was a bank robbery...no more no less and some Lybian fell for it. Kaddafy was a hated dictator, but there is no evidence that he murdered Lybian in the scale the West And the Arab states were talking about..just like they are doing now for Syria...
Syria was the same scheme, instead of money , it is oil and gas pipeline easements that they were refused to Qatar and Saudi Arabia..no more no less..and the same actors that planned the Lybian destruction, are behind Syrian demise...

Well, to each his own.
If many Muslim members here don't really care about such statistics/deaths in their region from Russia/Assad assault which they cheer. Why should we bother?
We can be concerned personally but doesn't means view shouldnt look at things from another perspective geo politically speaking.
Mike, you know well who is behind these massacres..don’t play dumb..England is up its neck..juste to name and you know the rest who make up the list..

I am not a defender of Iran, although as a regional power he has and is playing role , but not as big as the Sauds and their coalition like us to believe..All the fighting is done by Yemenis with Houthis , which are full fledged Yemenis..If I ran was giving them, what it accused of, the Houthis will be having tea in Riyadh by now and spitting showed Kat in her streets..
Ps..
Can you enlighten us , how the NATO intervention was good for Lybia? The country is completely destroyed...2 governments, two armies, tens of militias groups..roaming the country..each with its own plot of land.....etc. Etc....

It was expected and several times this type of attempt was averted as was said by Russian officials including finding a chemical factory in eastern ghouta previously occupied parts. Something of this kind was needed to halt Sytian military ops and to enforce usa designed measures over Syria so falseflag probability is high. Several issues need to be investigated now to find a more clear picture.
* Several precaution measures were already discussed in forum like video-written recordings of planes and loads. If Syria has this type of immediate information it should or already been shared to disprove immediate accusations.
*there could be some crude cw left on some terrorist hands and detonated on ground during airstrikes. If it is a ground detonation or air launched this can be found out by drone video footage or similar.
*does the cw trace match previous Syrian stockpile and was there a Syrian airplane nearby? This alone cant be an all proving evidence since after destruction of Syrian stockpile fingerprint of sy previous cw is public information. Also Syrian-Russian flight data is continiously shared with usa counterparts by Russia much before every air operation if i am not mistaken. Having said that a separate investigation needs to be run by Russia on its pilots and personnel to ensure that no moles or similar present. It is not about trusting Russia but this possibility even among high ranking officials cant be disregarded in such situations. No need to say that investigations about Syrian personnel that is default.

If this is debunked which I think is a high possibility this also showed that Syrian allies either mistakenly collaborate too much like Russia allowing these kinds of openings exploited by usa or for example in Irans case cant match up with planning and creative capabilities of israel-usa lagging many moves behind in the chess game and complaining after everything happens without seeing the moves beforehand.

Douma Medics Received No Patients With Signs of Chemical Poisoning - Russian MoD

13:30 09.04.2018(updated 13:41 09.04.2018)

The Russian Defense Ministry said Monday that medics of the Syrian Douma had received no patients with signs of chemical poisoning.

Russian Foreign Ministry said before that the information attacks about the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government forces were aimed at covering up terrorists and justifying possible external military action. The ministry warned against any military action based on far-fetched and fabricated reports, adding that it might have severe consequences.

On April 7, several media outlets, citing Syrian militants, accused Damascus of using chemical weapons in the city of Douma in Syria's Eastern Ghouta. US President Donald Trump’s Security Advisor Tom Bossert said next day that he did not rule out military actions against the Syrian government in connection with the reports. At the same time, Trump accused Russia and Iran of supporting Syrian leader Bashar Assad.

I am pro-revolution, and I have been to Libya three times after the revolution, the last time last year. I plan to go again this year. The only mass displacements are from the East of Libya, where a foreign-funded war criminal goes on a continuous rampage to try to gain power and this tiny village in the West of Libya near Misrata that chose to participate in its siege. As for the destruction, none has been seen by me from anywhere in Tripoli apart from some monuments and Gaddafi's palace, which is now flat. In other parts of Libya that I visited, no destruction was seen.

The war in Yemen was at first an Iranian-funded Houthi group trying to get into power. Now, the Houthis could be eradicated at any time. But what the UAE is trying to do is split the country up. The Yemeni Army is prevented from advancing in key places, and if they do, they are bombed by the UAE. This is so that they could bring a viable case against democracy, that it brings death, destruction and splitting into the country.

And about my country, no, it is not completely destroyed. Misrata is quite rich and most remnants from the war have gone, which is quite remarkable, considering what it looked like just after the war. Tripoli and cities around them have constant traffic jams and there is the only waste collection is private, but it is all safe. Inner Tripoli is really clean and full of rich people and expensive cars. The militia problem has been largely solved by the militias being put under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior or the Ministry of Defense. If a militia went rogue or attacked another, or robbed a bank, the rest turn on it. The Haftar problem is purely foreign-backed, and without foreign support, he would have been six feet underground, and Libya would have been like a rich Tunisia. There are the few who didn't want Gaddafi to leave, but the fact that they can speak up is a sign of the growing freedom of speech given to us by the revolution.

If you have any more questions, just ask me for clarification.
