September 2, the governor asked for 40000 more national guards to participate in rescue and maintain the order. What was unbelievable was somebody actually fired shots at rescue helicopters and vehicles. Even more unbelievably was that when refugees tried to cross Crescent City Connection bridge to enter Gretna of Mississipi, they were threatened by mostly white policemen to force them to go back.
