Dutch anti-Islam Lawmaker Cancels Contest.

No Muslim Nations raised their voice against this so senstive issue but We(Pakistani Muslim) are here for the love and honor of our Prophet. A strong stand by PTI and Imran Khan influenced the end result - this is a good example of honest leadership. This was not expected from corrupt government of PMLN headed by Nawaz Sharif.

Many factual inaccuracies in your post. For one, fatwas have come from every Muslim sect and many organizations against a Daesh, most often referred to us as modern day Khawarij.
Care to point out the inaccuracies?

As for what u r saying in ur post...I'm aware of that. I specifically mentioned that all the prominent Islamic scholars "together" need to issue a fatwa on this. So there's no doubt remaining in any sect or Muslims from any region...bcuz Muslims of different sects pick and choose.

Like I said in my earlier post...it's a no brainer and normally a person doesn't need a fatwa to know how to be human being...this is just to remove/reduce the possibility of idiots getting brain washed.

We don't care about how you view us, so long as you think twice about insulting the haqq we will be happy campers.

This will increase the insults in private circles, or in circles where Muslims are the minority. You can't supress these opinions forever.

I personally thing the cartoon event should have gone ahead and it's their own business they are not Muslim and they are not us.

We should instead have resorted to economic boycott of everything Dutch... Including Shell oil company and all they way down to Dutch chocolates... That is our right... Because we are Muslims.

We can't stop what you guys do in private circles, but we can and have (this isn't the first time) motivated you to refrain from doing it in the public sphere.

The suppression is already going pretty well, and inshallah it will become even greater. You cannot afford to anger the worlds fastest growing religion, unless you want to experience large scale boycotts and mass protests.

I thought that dutch group was brave enough but they proved themselves like cat. They cancelled it due to life threats not that they realised positivity.
Anyway good development, it will eradicate violence in Pakistan due to one group.
Btw, when ever such events occur, I look around for those events for which such attention deviations are set. Whenever they want to do something major, they throw such things. Now, lets analyse what major happened since the announcement of this event, which was shadowed in media as well. So?

Rest of the world is bigger and has more buying power.
Islamic world has more in terms of fuel resources. You can't really boycott the rest of the world. Who will buy the fuel then?

(Side note--The world's fastest growing religion tag is okay for the time being, but remember that most Muslims face boycott and violence if they try to leave their faith. Despite this, there is growing faithlessness in most Islamic countries. A lot of people don't pray 5 times anymore.)

Indeed, that would have been a nuanced way to handle it. That subtlety would scare more people than threats of violence, which embolden more people to act against you.

Irrelevant, you still need us to buy your products. We are too big of a community for you to just ignore.

You can boycott the fuel if you wish, but that will only bring the fat oil sellers to their knees. The rest of us won't stop.

(side note: there are more people switching into Islam than switching out, and Muslims are becoming more and more religious day by day).

I see ur reasoning and it would work in cases where someone is teasing with an almost childish intent to provoke a response. In this guy's case it's different...he has a deep seated hatred towards Islam and Muslims. This isn't his first rodeo and it won't be his last. We can ignore all we want...he would continue to find ways.

I'm absolutely against issuing fatwas and death threats as it makes us look like savages...but ignoring entirely doesn't seem like a proper solution in this case. It's at best a hope that ppl like him will stop if we ignored them and not a guarantee.

With economical pressure the chance is at least higher that he(and others like him) will come under pressure to stop. A very fine example of this we see is US/Western Europe and other US aligned countries banding together and sanctioning whoever dares to go against their wishes...it brings entire countries to the negotiating table.

You're right about this character, he is a bigot and is a professional anti-Islam politician. I understand these sort of creatures well, I have seen their rise here in the UK as well.

Our ignoring will not stop his efforts and obsession it's true. But my point is, that we weaponize and give speed to his hatred when we assign it more importance than its worth by responding the way we do.

And I'm sorry to say, I still vehemently disagree with your suggestion of state level action. The Dutch government and people aren't in the business of provoking Muslims or insulting people, they do however allow their citizens to such things without legal repercussions. And in this case a few hateful people who most Dutch probably disagree with have successfully engaged the anger of millions around the world, these few people whose only worth is derived from spreading hate and being infamous.

Bro, don't tell me made-up stories of your Ameer ...

Easy there ........ it's not really necessary that everyone would / should believe in traditional generally accepted fairy tales, preached and practiced as part of faith. A critical reading of the source of all these historical tales would point out million contradictions in it. You may accept these senseless illogical fairy tales created to spread division and disharmony ....... I have no problem with that, but I don't and I won't.

Quote a single verse from the Holy Qur'an to back up your position ... I am sure you can't

My position that Ayub Ansari's (May ALLAH be pleased with him) wish was honored by his Ameer and Ameer did threaten with grave consequences if resting place of companion of Messenger is desecrated? Or

You think Quran has prohibited Muslims from making any laws for preventing blasphemy, disrespect and insult thrown at Messenger Peace be upon him? Or taking any hard stance against it? We are talking about straight forward prohibition ............

But I can certainly quote Quranic verses that tell us to ignore blasphemers and leave their matter to Allah ..

Please do share ......... but not in isolation, do relate to what takes preference, taking a hard stance against bigotry to keep the peace, harmony and unity or keeping mum and just ignoring an apparent malicious intent at creating disorder.

Well, let me remind you my friend that you (not I) are the one telling a story here ... I hope you realize that just because you believe (or wish) something to be true doesn't make it true.... And as you yourself have talked about critical reading of the sources, so please quote the primary source of this made-up story of your Ameer, and also your opinion/comments on the authenticity of that source. Waiting ....

I had clearly mentioned in my opening post (you may not like calling him Ameer, but for me he is Ameer). That was supposed to let you know that you are entitled to your opinion and view and I am entitled to mine.

Anyways here is link to some research work that got banned in both Pakistan and india, and was equally disliked by Deo bandis and everyone. You can give it a reading if you want (I think I should have said if you can, beware you won't blame me for hurting your emotions after reading this). And its also necessary to mention that I still don't agree with the event as described in this research. I am of firm opinion that Hazrat Hussain was governor of Iraq when he was assassinated, they were people's people, they didn't prefer keeping personal guards and that's what led to targeted assassination of all of them from Omer to Hussain May ALLAH be pleased with all of them.

I am sorry but your first link doesn't fully answer the point I raised and stressed upon, straight forward prohibition.

You think Quran has prohibited Muslims from making any laws for preventing blasphemy, disrespect and insult thrown at Messenger Peace be upon him? Or taking any hard stance against it? We are talking about straight forward prohibition ............

I am not interested in the second link, based upon some talk from a sect ....... excuse me for that.

I remember we had this discussion in the past as well. I had at that time mentioned that Muslims in their time in Makkah weren't in position of any power, so they couldn't do much about the insults thrown at them and Messenger of ALLAH. Muslims in power after expansion couldn't think of disrespecting Messenger of ALLAH, they were still holding onto message of Quran and practically implementing it. But now centuries after, after so much division, confusion and with a population in billions, this matter cannot be set aside ...... proper strategy and legislation needs to be done to prevent the chaos, disorder and anarchy from spreading. It's necessary for peaceful living of everyone.
