Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has reiterated that the Durand Line will never be accepted as formal border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported.

“We want good relations and friendship with Pakistan,” he said at a press conference in Kabul on Thursday. “But the Afghan nation will never accept Durand Line as the formal border between the two nations.”

The Afghan leader refuted claims that 20 terrorist groups were operating in the country, expressing concerns on the “deployment of Islamic State (IS) fighters by alien helicopters”.

In a conversation with Russia Today earlier this month, the former president had noted that “unmarked, nonmilitary colour helicopters” were supplying weapons across Afghanistan, hinting at the possibility of the US assisting the Islamic State.

He also questioned the emergence of the Islamic State in Afghanistan under the watch of the US forces and intelligence agencies. “US came to defeat extremism but we have more of it today, so the question is why?” he asked.

What damned idiot this Karzai is. Doesn't he know the Emir of Afghanistan signed a treaty with Mr. Durand that the Durand line is the legitimate border between Pakistan and Afghanistan?

lol, as much as I would love to see Afghanistan as a province of Pakistan, the Durand line is still valid.

lol, I was thinking that Afghanistan's lawyers would be able to argue their case to the International Court of Justice or the UN, but the reality is the Durand line is the recognized border. The United Nations recognizes Durand line as legitimate border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

These Afghan pigs have a tendency to run off to the international court LOL I wonder why they haven’t demanded their American and Indian counterparts to put pressure on Pakistan to hand over major chunks of KPK? I’m sure India will help opiumland in attaining this goal LOL

Unfortunately Afghanis are still stuck in Ahmad Shah Abdali's era who ruled India and had borders with Indus river.
But if he says Durand line is not acceptable, he may also know that the same Durand who established Afghan border with British India also established border with Iran and Russia.
If Durand line with Pakistan will ever be abolished by same rule the Durand line with Iran and Russia must abolish and Afghanistan can fight a 3 way war for winning back their Ahmad shah Abdali era territory. Good luck with that.
