Does this relate to the possible sale of some bench testing equipment for JF17, that we heard about a day or so ago? Help would be appreciated.

Pakistan – Technical Support Team

WASHINGTON, February 1, 2010 – On January 29, 2010, the Defense Security Cooperation
Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of
Pakistan of technical support services and other related logistics support. The estimated cost is
$100 million.

This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States
by helping to improve the security of a friendly country that has been and continues to be an
important force for economic progress in South Asia and a partner in overseas contingency
operations.

Pakistan is vital to U.S. foreign policy and national security goals in South Asia.

The proposed sale of this support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be determined at a later date. There are no known offset agreements
proposed in connection with this potential sale.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.

This notice of a potential sale is required by law and does not mean the sale has been concluded.
