DRDO orders silicon-based fuel cell from Us Company Neah Power Systems

Neah Power Systems, Inc. a developer of award-winning energy products, announced today that it had received a $172,000 order for multiple units of Neah Power’s PowerChip product from the DRDO, Government of India, with ship dates on or around Jan 10, 2014.

Dr. D’Couto, President and CEO of Neah Power Systems, stated, “This is a significant milestone for the Company. This sovereign entity has evaluated the technology, both at their facilities and at our facilities, and this order further validates the unique value proposition of Neah’s products, especially for aggressive defense oriented applications. As a follow up to this shipment, we are currently in discussions regarding a licensing agreement with the DRDO for defense applications in India.”

Aw man. A tiny company just made it.

That said, I think DRDO has only purchased a small number, ~500-1000 of the fuel cells. The real production will happen in house.

fuel cells could also be used for the aip of a submarine.
who knows but we need to develop this basic stuff in india itself

There is no way this WOULDN'T include licence production as the volumes you're talking about are HUGE.

ur right inductions in navy are good but airforce and army are not doing very good and army is worse and we need F-INSAS as fast as possible.do u have any info regarding howitzers??
