For a dirt cheap replacement to the FN FAL it does the job bro.


It has been improved over time and now OFB are delivering a pretty problem-free weapon to the IA/CAPFs:

Either way the INSAS is old news and on its way out. Within 3 years the rifles will begin to be replaced in certain priority units (RR, Para bgd-NOT SOFs though) with a foreign MCAR (here's hoping the ARX-160!) and soon after that/around the same time the general infantry will begin to receive the MCW (under the larger F-INSAS project) developed in India by DRDO:
