That means he has got extension of FOUR years already
So no more extensions

Most scientists in ISRO/ DRDO / Atomic energy ( DAE )
retire at the age of 60

Only a few get extensions

Just because the DRDO chief is sacked ...does that mean Govt means business ?
Unless you see appropriate follow up action from Govt ..such conclusions are too early .

Let us see why this happened ...
there must be serious compelling reasons to do so ...

Exactly ! If that alone was the case then he would not have been given the extension in first place ....

Govt this year hasn't given very many senior officials extension and if DRDO chief too was on extension, the news could well be true.

Indeed. Mr Avinash Chander has served nation well .
He is deemed as architect of Agni missiles ...
So this is something very unusual and serious .

If he is being removed immediately after having been given extension that means something serious must have been discovered by the Government ...we are unlikely to know the reasons why he has been removed unceremoniously .

Oh well didn't see it. So the news turned out to be true.

Current government is following performance of all departments very closely and any PSU / govt aided organization not doing well has its Chief's Head on the line.
