why so much fuss, it only shows how important Pakistan is for them, their politician win election based on their Pakistan policy, their general show their bravado (only in statement) by bashing Pakistan. I will not read much into Gen Sohag Raat's statement, India is a country with no active external conflict for decades now but still has highest heavy arms import bill in the world and obviously all this is done by denying basic rights to millions. So to justify the spendings it has to create a war like/hostile neighborhood image, that comment was more "financial" than anything as military procurement industry needs "oil" to run and obviously also benefit many powerful involved.

Indian defence budget is only 1.78% of gdp.. Lowest in the region.. Check what is the case for Pakistan.
