Laws are never BS and have to be implemented. In real life those laws are implemented unlike some advance countries which openly degrade any religion and nations in the name of games and in that end government of those countries openly deny as if anything has happened even when lethal technology is being used.

In Bollywood , Censor board is responsible for releasing any movie. This movie PK was released after approval from Censor board.

I lost you completely.. I was questioning the law itself.. not how it is implemented.

Religious sentiments should not be hurted and there have been a very wrong attitude towards Hindus god and goddess on many occasions.

What did you find hurtful in the film?

The movie makes some good points. It's just horribly made.

It's easy, anything against Muslims or Christians is offending and scenes must be deleted whereas when it's comes to Hindus it's freedom to free speech.

Just that one scene, then? Christians have moved on to take jokes, I think the Hindus should follow.

This only can be the problem in future. In India always religious sentiments are considered of all the religions but now its becoming some what like Western and European countries.

There is lot of openness in India in fact i can say similarity in all the people who believe in God . Indians are way better then other nations in all aspects.

show me the instance.. I have seen movies who are pretty offensive to muslims..
besides.. censor board is not govt org, its made of people like you and me... the chairman(an appointed post) got very little influence.. and most likely the board will be hindu majority..
and a maker can go to court against board..

another thing similar to western countries including UK.. people find it easier to criticize christianity, because they come from same religion, they are the majority...
criticizing islam and hinduism (contrary to what you think) is still a taboo here... because its a minority religion..
btw.. if you find this movie offensive .. watch 'life of brian' (by monty python)... it got similar response when it got released in 1979.. there are christian leaders furious in condemning it.. but viewers loved it..
(and the two hindi movies have not come even close to life of brian.. trust me)

why should they? had people showed similar opposition when some raised voice against SATI, we still be burning widows alive. The only reason Hinduism survived for so long because we openly discussed our short comings in religion and work to improve on it.

to be able to say we are better than others, you should travel and see how others live their lives. You will be shocked how wrong you are with your assumptions.
