I think the good part about him , is he is not financed by corporations and supports himself
instead of fulfilling the agenda of those corporations , you might get a president that for once can fulfill the agenda of the people.
That's not how it works. I hope you meant that in jest, otherwise it shows how shallow your knowledge of US and even world politics is.
What about the trillion dollars investment in the US and what about the petrol-dollar?
GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Sunday that Saudi Arabia is not properly compensating America for its diplomatic partnership.
Trump called on Riyadh to share its vast wealth with the U.S. in exchange for the alliance between the two nations.
“They make a billion dollars a day,” he told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Saudi Arabia is now the strongest in the ME region economically and militarily.“Saudi Arabia, if it weren’t for us, they wouldn’t be here,” Trump said. “They wouldn’t exist.”
“They should pay us,” he added. “Like it or don’t like it, people have backed Saudi Arabia. What I really mind though is we back it at tremendous expense. We get nothing for it.”
Trump argued on Sunday that global economics is shifting the balance of power away from Saudi Arabia.
“The primary reason we are with Saudi Arabia is because we need the oil,” he said. “Now, we don’t need the oil so much.”
“And, if we let our people really go, we wouldn’t need the oil at all,” Trump said of America’s energy economy. “And we could let everybody else fight it out.”
“Look, Saudi Arabia is going to be in big trouble pretty soon,” he added. “And they’re going to need help. I think Saudi Arabia is a major target, a major target.”
Yeh, the truth... So, you heard what you wanted, go sleep now..Trump additionally touted his experience in international real estate as proof he is qualified for the Oval Office next year.
“I make a tremendous amount of money from selling very wealthy people from other parts of the world and from the United States apartments and other things,” the outspoken billionaire said.
“They lease tremendous office space from me,” he said, citing China, Mexico and Saudi Arabia as examples. “I get along with all of them.”

Some of these GOP nutjobs sometimes also tell the truth.
Useless commentary.
KSA couldn't pay us even if they want to. they are losing what $100 billion in reserves every year with oil prices at the price they are right now.
we should of kept the oil in Iraq,,, at least 2 barrel out of 10 that comes out of the ground for a decade to pay off the war and protecting Iraq from IS.
could say the same about Kuwait as well.
if the U.S isn't going to use it military muscle to protect the GCC who will?? China? I doubt it

Oh great. Economically and militarily? What an amazing achievement. Tell them to cut their oil exports to half or even to a quarter and then let's see how they'll be the 'strongest' economy. If they totally stop oil exports, they'd be back to good old Bedouin days when they wandered deserts.Saudi Arabia is now the strongest in the ME region economically and militarily.
Who can attack Saudi Arabia now, Iran?
Yeh, the truth... So, you heard what you wanted, go sleep now..
KSA does not owe USA anything nor vice versa. The 70 + years old relationship is benefiting both nations otherwise the USA would have cut all the ties A LONG time ago.
It has little to do with oil too.
KSA was already an independent nation 13 years prior to the establishment of the partnership/alliance with the US. I am not even talking about the numerous millennium old entities that once were located in what is today modern-day KSA.
After all the Arabian Peninsula is the longest inhabited area on the planet outside of Southern and Eastern Africa.
The funny thing here is that Trump himself has fairly close relations to GCC nations and several Arab billionaires and businessmen including quite a few well-known Arab-Americans (3.5 million big group in the US).

What lip service are you talking about?Apparently, that wasn't enough. Americans basically saved Saudi's arses after Saddam launched Kuwait invasion. If Saudis and other Arab states had not begged U.S and Americans had not interfered, he would march directly to Riyadh and beyond. So I think Saudis should pay more, even though they have done enough lip service to Americans till now, but they should try harder it seems.
Actually they cut oil prices to half and still doing great and will be so for at least the next 7 years. If Saudi Arabia stops oil exports the world economy is phucked up.Oh great. And militarily? Give me a break. Selling oil and buying weapons with it doesn't simply make you 'strongest military'. If All countries stop selling arms to KSA, it means after a while, Saudis will have to fight with sticks and stones. What a strong military. You are strong also when you are able to produce some basic and advanced stuff completely on your own, not being strong at the mercy of Americans and Europeans.
No one is going to attack Saudi Arabia, and Iran certainly doesn't have a reason to attack it, just like it hasn't attacked anyone in past 300 years.
Sometimes what you hear is also a truth, even if this truth comes out of the mouth of a nutjob like Donald Trump.

I believe the most important branch in any army is the air force and RSAF with the contracted new jets is the strongest or at least equal in power to both. People have been arguing about Saudi army real capability since it hasn't fought in a real war, but after it's operation in Yemen I think it's real capability is obvious.ME is debatable , if you include Turkey and Egypt both are militarily superior , Israel is also superior in military terms
It's not like that, Saudi Arabia has the largest oil reserves and it's the top exporter of oil which happens to be the most important item in todays economy. Therefore it has great influence over world economy, for instance it had the power to cut the oil prices to half which greatly affected all world economy. Plus It has over 700$ billion savings.Turkey and Israel are pretty much the only proper non oil based economies
